    reaves.

    but none other than that.

go back to starting AD at pf and you might get away with monk or Ellington staring at sg.

AD means you can play one bad defender most nights. But not two.

I think this is more an indictment of how bad the defense of guys like Monk, Ellington, and Melo is
This was the worry with these guys as they have offensive skills but they have to be scorching hot to make up for all the points they give up on other end. Good NBA offenses nowadays have too much shooting and PnR skills to hunt down bad defenders and we're seeing this night in and night out. So you end up seeing Bradley in there

So you're stuck with Bradley till hopefully Reaves, Nunn, and Ariza can come back

    It isn't.

Bradley has been cooked @ the point of attack this season.

There's also a reason he has been cut twice.

    And I was a fan.

    He has to be benched.

Bradley needs to be glued to the bench.

    And/or released.

I thought he played good D in the comeback. No? Was Monk or Ellington going to lock anyone down and help us claw back from 15 down?

Bradley used to be a good scorer. Like 15ppg.

Wtf happened? We play 4 on 5 on offense with him on the floor except for like a handful of games per season.

He was never a great shooter or scorer. He’s always been a defender first. He was ok scoring for us in the championship year. But always D first.

Again I hate to burst everyone’s bubble about Bradley sucking when as he said there was a reason he was in the game for our entire comeback against Detroit in the fourth. He helped our momentum with his D despite not scoring at all. Vogel didn’t trust Monk or Ellington and I don’t either.

Man, I really was hoping Ellington could get so hot that his bad defense wouldn’t matter.

So Bradley is totally cooked and yet he kept us in the game against Detroit with his D during the comeback and tonight he was our only good shooter besides Russ and kept us in it again.

Yeah, I guess we are watching a different Bradley- he even made Julius give up the ball several times when they were matched one on one.

I swear I just read another post in a different thread talking about benching Bradley. WTH? What games are people watching? THT literally shot 0 for 8 and had some terrible turnovers but folks want to bench Bradley? I feel like I’m living in an alternate universe.

LJ, he isn’t cooked, he has a good game now and then. But the in-between is BAD, and yes he can have good stretches in a game, even during a bad stretch of games. But on the whole he has not been good, he isn’t big enough to guard the players he’s been put on, like Tatum, and he isn’t fast enough latterly anymore to hang with guards his size on the regular. He’s not a starter on a title team, he goes too long being ineffective. I’m not trashing the guy, I’m not saying he’s garbage, he’s just lacking what we currently need. I would give Stanley Johnson a shot or finally sign Ennis, and I’d have no issue cutting Bradley. Ellington isn’t great on defense, no, but I’d still start him when LeBron is back, he helps spread the floor. Also, THT is 20, he’s going to have rough nights, but he still needs room to make mistakes and grow, Bradley is who he is at this point, and Vogel relies way too heavily on him.

Weezy, I'm just going to absolutely, respectfully disagree with you completely. Somehow folks on here are slamming Bradley and have some kind of idea that he's not playing well for us. I'm not saying Bradley should be starting for this team but look at the alternatives right now. You are saying we should be playing Ellington in his place. Ellington plays no defense at all and is shooting 33.3% from the field and identical numbers from 3. And this is from a shooting specialist. Let's look at Avery's numbers: he's shooting 40% from the field and 38% from three. That ain't bad from a guy who isn't exactly a shooter. Bradley meanwhile is playing defense and fairly well I might add. It's not his fault Vogel stuck him on Tatum who has 5 inches on him. That's a ridiculous assignment for a small SG like AB. He had 9 boards by the way tonight.

He's somehow become the new whipping boy around here. Look at the posts above. They are absurd. Sure sign a bigger guy at some point but I'd let go of Ellington before Bradley. Wayne is older and he's a one trick pony who isn't performing that trick very well. I'd keep Monk over both of them even though he doesn't play a lick of D either. But he's young with upside unlike Ellington.

You wanna know who actually really sucks? Bazemore. Absolutely garbage. Can’t shoot and too slow to play D. Think about the fact that he can’t even get off the pine any more even with all of these injuries and THT playing like trash the last three games. Now that’s sad. He would be the guy I would cut first.
