my wmc: we don't box out. really stood out to me in the first part of the miami game. those AD offensive boards were tough (i know, impossible!) because he had bodies all over him. their putbacks were fully uncontested. it's partly connected to our bad second and third rotations on defense, of course. still, though, just put a body on the nearest guy. way too much watching.

edit: just got to see the rest. omg the back door cuts. c'mon guys. those were simple, no misdirection, just you falling asleep.

Excellent start, as usual. WTH is that lineup?

And AD is with his hand now... why is he not in a some sort of protective cast?

Rondo connection. SMDH. There is no connection. Rondo is simply a PG. The best we've had since Magic, so... he knows how to pass.

Just flew in to LAX from a work trip in Albuquerque. Between getting into my car in the parking lot early in the 3rd quarter, and arriving at my apartment building in Santa Monica, the Lakers made one basket.

7 minutes without scoring. Besides Melo, I really don’t like watching this team play basketball.

This is very, very bad. Thought we took 1 step forward with the Heat win, but it’s 2 steps back with a blowout at home to friggin Minny. Third quarters have gone from concerning to me dreading them. I know we have injuries, but even then you shouldn’t be losing by 20-30 points regularly, we should at the very least be competitive with the players we do have. And to be honest we were getting beat down by good teams when we still had LeBron as well to start the season. I’m not sure exactly what’s going on, whether they’ve tuned Vogel out, whether the pieces we have don’t fit, if we sold our defensive identity and are seeing the outcome now, but it’s more than concerning at this point.

They lack creativity on offense. Even with injured players, this team shouldn't be this dreadful offensively. Vogel giving me Mike Brown vibes

    Agreed.

This team always seems to have a dry scoring spell in it. I'll give them a tiny pass tonight of catching brickitis, but overall, we don't really create easy baskets. It's heavily reliant on individual brilliance. For every night that Malik Monk can make a euro step crunch time jump shot, stinkers are going to happen. Great teams adapt to losing superstar players and being functional. Look at Clippers losing Kawhi, Miami without Butler, and Golden State, who's now 11-1 without Klay. It's not like this is new for Vogel, this happened last year during the regular season and they didn't use that time to prepare and looked clueless aganist the Suns. I get that LBJ teams usually suck without him, but the coaching staff have to mix things up and get the next man to produce. Should not be starting Bazemore anymore and stop playing Russ/Rondo together; teams will just double team like crazy.

It's not just Lebron out, it's THT, Reaves, Nunn, Ariza. Lakers are being forced to play guys who can only shoot too many minutes and with lineups with multiple bad defenders out there.

On top of that I just hate watching Russell Westbrook play basketball. Injuries happen and none of them seem too serious but watching that dude isn't pleasant for me

That 3rd quarter brought glaring attention to how we can't generate offense in the half court. Getting outscored 40-12 in the 3rd is inexcusable in itself, we've known this team can't defend. But scoring just 12 points with a lineup that boasts Westbrook, AD and 3 capable shooters is beyond me.

I’ll give you LeBron, THT, and Nunn, but we shouldn’t be dependable on an ancient Ariza and an undrafted rookie to regularly be down 30 in games. I do know we aren’t very good, but even bad teams lose by like 10, not 20-30, there’s a certain level of pride there. Agree on Westbrook though, I’ve been a fan of his from afar, and I watched him in college, but man up close is a different thing.

Dumpster fire. Too many issues right now.

Injuries, parts don't fit, age, defense, turnovers, can't rebound, can't make free throws, out of sync on offense, no chemistry on the court (even fight ON THE COURT)...

I don't even know where to start fixing this sh***. No trade assets, no cap, no picks, no nothing.
