Whatever it is...given how awful the Lakers are and have been....Melo has really come to the rescue this early in the season. We would have pretty much lost every game in which he came through BIG with his 3s. I'm happy that he has a solid start as his signing wasn't less controversial than Russ.
Melo seems like he can't miss at Staples Center...boy, his 3 ball looks better than Steph Curry's at home lol
He tried to get us into OT. Nearly accomplished it too. Had Russ managed to get him the ball on that last play (instead of his attempt at hero ball), even in traffic, I like the chances of him hitting that. Unfortunately with Bron out, I think he's going to have to be playing 30+ minutes for us to have a chance. Luckily we only have one back to back in this stretch. I say let him loose against SA and rest everyone against Chicago. Let Rondo, DJ, and Monk play 48 against Chicago and rotate other bench guys for the other two spots.
With his improved D and being the best shooter on the team, I think he's earned a spot closing lineup regardless of who's healthy. I probably rotate Ariza and Baze depending on the size or speed of the perimeter opponent. If only the other defensive liabilities could also take a step forward, we'd be in good shape.

If we didn’t have this dude we’d be screwed haha, his shooting has been unreal, clutch as hell. And even his defense has been solid.
He's been one of the best signings in the league and dollar vs production, by far the best one. For me, he's the most fun Laker to watch this season.
Amazing: who would have thought he'd better then Westbrook on both offense and defense. The dude knows his role and at least trying on defense. Good for him: honestly hope we win a title for him. Never thought I'd say it
Every game I am delightfully surprised with how well Melo can shoot it. I mean this is a different type of Melo too. He displayed this kind of heat as a midrange scorer, not a 3 pt shooter. Love this guy on this team, we actually could have used him in each of the last few years too. #StaplesMelo
