I know ..... I'd say we could have expected better than winning one title with Bron but by NBA standards it's good.

it's great. everyone said we'd get none! if this is really the end, all of our efforts need to be focused like a laser on setting up the luka acquisition. nabbing him will further cement our legacy as the place where the best go to play and win. build the brand, baby.

anyway, i don't think lebron's done, and i'm oddly not even as down on the team as most are today. i called this loss when i heard lebron was out again, and i think once we have the full squad, we'll look better and blow some teams out.

Measure of LeBron's greatness even at this age:

With him, we make the playoffs and have at least a shot at a title.

Without him he are a lottery team even with three other HOF players on the roster.

in fairness, only one of them is in his prime. i think people underestimate the difference between current westbrook and prime westbrook. he's lost the same amount of athleticism at 32 that lebron has lost at 36, imo.

still, though, AD and russ should be able to beat non-playoff teams. and maybe if it wasn't AD/russ/all vet mins, we would.

One may wonder about the possibility of our "pumping up" this stuff for load management purposes, we know the league doesn't like random sitting-out of stars, especially Lebron. It is what it is. I think Lebron has always suffered these things but he played on them when he was younger. It's the nature of the beast and management will take him out whenever they can. Especially now with Russ, though it'd be nice if we'd figure out how to make Russ a successful replacement

I am pretty sure he sat for load management. Against the worst team in the league, it would normally be a good bet.

Except we lost because Frank forgot how to coach and Westbrook turned into Westbrick

Lol bet you were one of the people saying he was too old and would never won anything when he came.
2 weeks ago everyone was hyped because he looks fresh on the floor and was being a sniper. Now he's finished. You guys are hilarious

i will say this injury bothers me more than his ankle injuries because it's one of those things that just sort of happens when you're old. i know, because i had this a few weeks ago. just got it by...being old.

Our former strength and conditioning coach weighs in

If it's a month, we're looking at these games without him.

    Charlotte Hornets
    Miami Heat
    Minnesota Timberwolves
    San Antonio Spurs
    Chicago Bulls
    Milwaukee Bucks
    Boston C Bags
    Detroit Pistons
    New York Knicks
    Indiana Pacers
    Sacramento Kings
    Detroit Pistons
    Sacramento Kings
    Los Angeles Clippers

Best case, we go 6 & 8. But I can easily see us only winning 2 or 3 of them.

First Tim DiFrancesco says even a minor strain is 4 to 8 weeks. Then he says that most minor strain takes 2 to 6 weeks. THEN he says his is expecting to be proven wrong when Dr. Barr says that NBA players with a grade 1 strain have missed an average of 4 games. Does Tim have any idea what the hell he’s talking about? I’ll say no since as a strength and conditioning coach, our team was neither strong or in good condition while he was here for the most part and that is why he doesn’t work for the Lakers anymore.
