Dare I say it, would we trade Russ for Ben? Also, I’m praying a guy like Eric Gordon becomes available through buyout. He’s exactly the kind of wing we need.

Do we even have the flexibility to trade for an Eric Gordon type? Who do we have that anyone wants and can match salaries?

he's got too many years left on his deal for a buyout, i think. need to keep an eye on wings buried/out of rotations. boston's not playing hernangomez at all, for example. is jarrett culver a reclamation project that could benefit from our bizarro shooting atmosphere?

I asked this in the game chat, so I’ll ask it here also. Does anyone actually believe we are going to trade Westbrook this year? The question doesn’t have anything to do with whether he’s a good player, right fit etc. It’s just would the Lakers trade Westbrook (that both AD and Bron wanted) the same year we pick him up? I personally can’t imagine this happening. Next year if things go really south, then maybe.

Literally 0% chance. The problem is, LeBron is on the clock with his career, but he is the one that brought Russ in, so ... :Kobe Shrug:

At least Ben plays good defense. Maybe we could force him to see a team of psychologists to get over his fear of shooting the ball???

Probably not. If we flame out in the first or second round of the playoffs, then for sure. At this point, some of us are just praying for it to happen, but not expecting those to get answered.

No. Vogel will get fired before Westbrook gets traded. I have to say that Tucker and Nunn need to hurry back asap. These last few games are kinda eye opening. Outside of Melo and the big 3...OKC and Houston both look like they have more talent then we do. I guess that's not all that shocking because we are playing all vet mins at the moment.

The playoffs are going to decide Vogel's fate too.

I really hate the Dame talking to Lebron over summer article coming out because I'd do anything to have Dame here instead of Westbrook.

In my head it was always a pipedream, rumors brought up because of Dame making some noise to his FO about doing better. But to know Dame and Lebron actually talked about teaming up...

Actually they didn’t really. It was more about them being a sounding board for him and spending some time together with a lunch and some good wine. Everyone knew it wasn’t a possibility.

It's way early in the season still, I'd like to see this team at full availability first before panicking. I still look at the big picture, we weren't any good without James or Davis last season either. That's why we ended up in the play in game.

there's a 0% chance the blazers would trade lillard to the lakers, even if the lakers had the pieces. plus, wasn't olshey the clippers GM back in the day? so there's even more anti-lakers fuel there. even if he did what AD did and pretty much said he's only willing to accept a deal to LA, they'd probably do what pop and the spurs did with kawhi and trade him as far away from LA as possible

Most of us knew it was going to take us 20 games to get our stuff together and actually play good. I have to admit that we have played a few games that have even surprised me with how badly we have played. There are enough fingers and targets to point at nearly everyone. The whole team, from Vogel down need to start trying to win games at all costs. Well, almost all.

I have said numerous times that we will be lucky to go 11-9 and it is beginning to look like I was optimistic. Thing is, right as we will be starting to figure things out, we will have a couple of more bodies to work into the mix.

I suspect the first 20 games are going to leave half of us in the suicide prevention program and the other half with shotguns pointed at our heads just waiting to pull the trigger. This latter group will be the healthy folks, who have been able to rationalize things somewhat successfully.

We were supposed to be at least decent with LeBron out after adding Westbrook- that’s why he was brought in.

We didn't expect 4 other guys to be out all season to go along with that. The league isn't so imbalanced that you still are going win anyway. I don't know how long Bron is going to be out, but we are going to win some games and lose some too. OKC and Houston are going to beat others teams this season. I do believe that Tucker, Nunn and Ariza are better than these guys playing now.

Being cut and then guaranteeing Bonga, that’s got to be pretty rough. I didn’t realize Bongo was even still in the league.
