Melo was great offensively. He was alright defensively, but I'll take average and great shooting every night of the week.

Melo has been a "star in his role.".

    My thoughts as well.

Although the competition isn't strong, its good to see improvements from the team. The more they gel now the better off we are at the end of the year when competition kicks up.

Big three put up great numbers.

As some noted, it can be tough to beat the same team in back to back games so I’m happy for the win even with the poor effort on defense.

    Let's see, positives...

-Our big 4 all clicked were all clicking for the first time.
-We had the best paint game of any team this year.
-The switch worked.... that's playing with fire, but it worked.
    - we won despite the refs taking away points from us in one of the strangest sequences I've ever seen.

i was worried they'd drop one to houston due to the odd scheduling, and they didn't. and scraping out any wins while we're feeling things out is a plus. not much else.

5-3 ain’t too bad if you look around the league. Could be much worse.

Lots of new pieces so it’ll take time to gel.

First time all 3 of them clicked on the same page and it only took 8 games. See if they can keep it up for a good stretch of games

Optimism: the 2nd half showed we are capable of playing defense.

So what was the story behind allowing 70 in the 1st half to the Rockets then? :SmushFail2:

Think we best the Thunder and Portland. We split games with Miami and Bulls.

    8-4 after 12 games. Let's hope...!

We will lose big with Heat and Bulls, the 2 teams in best form

Caruso makes Westbrook go 2-15 and swats LeBron

AC will be looking to "son" HbK so that should be interesting. AC's still a more dominant defender with his strength and hops and experience now. Let's see how it looks in 1 or 2 years even.

I love the optimism, but... we're probably going to lose badly against the Heat, and Chicago game could go either way, but only if we're playing really well. They really clicked early and we're still learning.

Big 4 are going to have to go off, we'll need Ellington back and firing away, and for the team to commit single digit TOs to have a change against Miami. That said, they're the best in the East right now and are going to run us out of the building. Optimistically, it's only one game.

Chicago should be a good game though.

Preferred 6-2 but it is what it is. Lakers need to get going by game 25 on both sides of the ball. Then we will see who they are.

So no slack for missing 4 expected important rotation players to this date and counting. On a roster that turned over all its role players except THT, one of the still missing. 5 if you want to throw in Monk for the games he missed. Hey Frank step your game up and get your s*** together.

I was thinking the same. I expect us to be up for both Miami and Chicago and for those to be more competitive than we'd think based on how we are playing. If we are engaged our guys certainly present matchup problems for them as well. The engagement part is the big if for me right now though.
