I agree. Sit him and play Reaves instead. See if Monk is able to start at the 2. His injury wasn't bad.
Old dudes falling like flies in preseason with all of that fast break stuff in practice? Hopefully that turns around once the guys are in shape or this is just freak injury stuff.
I hope Ellington can play decent defense: Westbrook, Melo, Monk for however much you value their offensive contributions the defense was bad against GS. You can probably only get away with having one bad defender nowadays against good offensive teams
His man D looked bad in pre-season but I saw more from him with regards to team/help D than I've seen from Monk or Nunn in their limited PT. I'm wondering if he hammy injury had something to do with his poor shooting percentage in pre-season, as well.
when we picked him up, i actually figured he'd start because he was a better team defender than monk or nunn (who are both pretty damn bad to my eye), but i'm not sure he even proved that. but yeah, maybe the injury explains some of each.
Not that he was tearing up the post season …. but the previously tweaked hammy took Justin Turner out at a bad time for the Dodgers.
OK, this is really great. Let's see if he can bring anything on D. I know he can hit the 3, that's not the issue. In any case, looking forward to seeing him play.
