He’s going to be part of the regular rotation for sure throughout the season- he’s earned it.

Frank is slowly coming around. Too slowly, but slowly. He seems to take too long to see the obvious.

That 20 foot bullet pass fired left handed off the dribble for the assist under the basket …. Holy 6’5” playmaking /scoring point guards @Cookie

    :Sunglassguy:

Combo guard or whatever. It’s a waste for the ball not to be in his hands more. He’s got that play from 3 point line to where he jukes the defender and drives to the center of the key from the sideline and makes a play in there for someone. 2 or 3 times now. He is a steal especially with the great and heady defense he plays.

More of the same from HBK. Smooth and makes the right plays. Instrumental in the win. Now we get out starting line up corrected and we are on to something.

That pass got me hyped! This kid has been the highlight of the season so far. Vogel really trusts him with those late fourth minutes.

His teammates already trust him which is kind of crazy for undrafted rookie.

Yeah- we are seeing why they do. Luck had nothing to do with his contract quickly shifting to a guaranteed one with the big boys.

Reeves is one of those guys who isn't a PG, but when he grabs the ball he's fully capable of pushing it and setting someone up like a natural PG. It reminds me of when a varsity big-man plays along side the JV squad and plays to set guys up, just bc he gets a kick out of running the offense & making basketball plays. I'm not saying Reeves is some IQ god, he just floats into the right places consistently, zips passes, changes speeds, etc. All stuff a good PG would do, all while fitting in along side a ball dominant player like LBJ or Russ.

I don't think we have to wish, he will get playing time. Reeves is a coaches dream. He was directing guys on the floor in a lineup with multiple 12 yr+ vets, that really stood out to me. Great game by him.

Kid just knows how to play. He finds the open guys, his defense is solid as hell, his energy is contagious. You can see LeBron trusts him already out there too.

Don’t look now but he’s pretty laterally quick with great hands and “might” also be a better defender than Alex coming out of college. He’s in the same zip code with him now as a rookie. Doesn’t have AC’s strength yet or hops on D but he plays tough and big out there and haven’t seen him getting worked yet by anyone. Would like to have, and bet Frank too ….have seen him get more minutes on Morant just to see. Need to see how good he really is.

Alex Caruso is the goat But reeves is a way better shooter and way more offensively composed than AC.

Reaves' versatility is impressive. He is making any lineup work. As mentioned in the Depth Chart thread, every single lineup with him is positive, and he is a team-leading +35!

Never seen anything like this, an undrafted rookie playing 4th quarter mins in a close game on a vet heavy team.

To me he plays like a smaller Joe Ingles. Defends well, can shoot, can put it on the floor a bit and can pass a bit. If he starts talking trash like a seasoned sailor then we’ve got Joe 2.0.

^ I agree with both of the above, and it looks like Vogel does too. For an undrafted rookie to go from 0 min to 12 min to 18 min in 3 games, is a pretty steep ramp up in minutes. If he keeps playing like this, he'll be in the mid-20's or more soon!

and they sat rondo for him, which is kind of a big deal, for several reasons.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure what to make of that. It feels to me like Reaves got Bradley's minutes, who played poorly last game, and only got 2 min this game. For Rondo, who played well in the last game, to get a total DNP feels weird, like maybe disciplinary reasons or something.
