I walked away and we got two on and scored a run. So I stayed away to not jinx us. Saw we didn't do anything else with RISP and 3 at bats. UGH... Pitching isn't what is going to cost us it is hitting
If we lose it will be on hitting and the walk to Darnaud by Walker. He didn't get the out he had to. It's like walking the damn pitcher the way Darnaud has been hitting.
Atlanta has to win tonight. They don't win game 7 if they blow this. They have capitalized on our mistakes. We have not done that so far with exception of Bellis bomb the other game
I think he should've pitched more balls to Rosario since first was wide open. Pressure is on ATL to close this out. Anything can happen lol.
God, they can't hit Matzek to save their lives. On the brighter side, I don't think I can stomach seeing them lose to Houston again.
well our season will come down to 3 outs and a need for 3 runs. I think we might of blew our chance in the 8th though.
yea I was worried he would make good contact after fouling off so many. He is their hottest hitter. I'd pitch around him but that is hindsight. I don't think Walker pitched a bad game today.
I want to beat them soooooooooooooooooooooooo badly. If Braves go I will be rooting hard for them. I hate those cheats as much as the Patriocheats.
Yeah he did the best he could. The starters are just being stretched too thin. I don't know how they would face Houston with 2.5 starting pitchers.
It's all over. Good luck to the Braves against the Trashtros. This series had a lot of missed opportunities in many aspects, mainly the hitting. At least we kicked the Giants out of the playoffs, that will be always be a one upper on them. Still proud of the boys to get this far. Injuries have ravaged this lineup badly. We could've definitely used Bauer, but who knows what will happen to him. There needs to be an upgrade on those bench hitters, it's been a huge drop off from Kike and Joc to guaranteed outs in Souza Jr.
Like I had mentioned, I’m a new fan and this was my first post-season run actually investing time and energy, so maybe I’m off base with this comparison. But this felt a lot like the Lakers 2021 season. Repeating in any sport is tough as hell. All the wear and tear, injuries start piling up at the worst times. Nothing to be ashamed of. And then similar to how I was almost relieved that the Lakers got eliminated early because squeaking through a few rounds only for our banged up squad to lost to the Clippers would have been immensely painful, almost feels similar in that I didn’t have a good feeling for the Dodgers against the Astros. Hoping Rosario and the Braves can keep up their hot hitting and destroy Houston.
Braves earned the win. They capitalized on our mistakes and we left too many men on base. Still a great year. Guys battled. Pitchers pitched their a**es off especially the bullpen. Good season. Bad end. But still good.
Yes they should have hit more, but Dodgers win this game 2-1 if Roberts doesn't let Buehler pitch Rosario for the 3rd time through. Just change pitchers. They pulled him after that inning anyway. And Roberts & Friedman burned all the starting pitchers all series long, screwing them up with relief innings and short rest. They didn't trust the bullpen, even though the bullpen won games. That said, Kershaw and Muncy and others going down was probably too much to overcome. Everyone just too tired out. Would have been extremely difficult to win the WS, and would have felt even worse to lose to the Astros, so whatever.
Yep. Didn't read what Sherzer got but Seager was something like 325M dollars for 10 years? Holy crap.
