And defend. Nice to see him get burn in the fourth. He was a big reason we cut their lead from 30 down to 10. Great hustle and clutch shots.
I like the kid a lot but that’s a lot of pressure going from undrafted to starting, especially when we are losing games. I’d wait a little bit till he’s got some more experience and our backs aren’t against the wall so much looking for our first win.
yeah, i guess... i suppose we can start bradley, but reaves should find his way onto the floor. i don't think any of the other sgs have distinguished themselves ahead of him, tbh. unless you count baze as a sg.
Normally I would agree. With our injuries I would just put him out there. The kid just doesn't seem to feel pressure. Smiling having fun and much better than the alternatives. He can handle the ball, play defense, shoot, pass, even snag a rebound or two and has good bball IQ. Without AC we just do not have a player that can do all these things. Plus if if he plays now he will be a seasoned veteran by playoff time instead of a rookie that just played a few minutes here and there. Sorry to bring up AC...lol
Yeah @Toklat , I was just coming to say similar It’s great watching him deliver no nerves and knock down shots while playing better D than most of our guards, but almost you hope to see him have to put the ball on the floor more and make things happen for other guys. Rather than just standing in the corner on offense.
Come mid way through the season, if he gets more burn, I think we will see this. He’s being cautious right now and I would too if I were in his position.
I'm sure he realizes it, just like he did watching THT play in practice and garbage time in our championship run prior to giving him some burn in the playoffs. But he also knows he has vets ahead of him, though injuries now should cancel that concern. But if the kid keeps delivering as he has and playing that smart with good defense, he's going to make it hard not to just put him in. He's light for the 3 spot, but tough, and Baze isn't much heavier I believe.
This kid eats pressure for breakfast. There's a reason we call him Hillbilly Kobe, and not Hillbilly Smush.
I'd play this kid over Bradley for sure. We are missing Talen's ability to attack the paint too. I think Reeves, Tucker and Nunn are going to be a key part of the rotation by the All Star break.
I really don’t care about the vets getting their feelings hurt. You have to play the guys who are playing well.
Good point. We are missing his fearlessness taking it to the rack. Currently, we have too many guys settling for long jumpers.
