Something along those lines will happen. Kobe is thinking about the home stretch, he's not done after this year like it or not. Everything happens for a reason. Clark, draft picks, Randle, cap space. This isn't football where teams Have gone from a below .500 team to winning a championship with 11 players on the field, in 3 different aspects of the game. There's only 5 fellas and after the draft itself, our lineup will be able to compete with playoff teams. That's not considering free agency.
This theory is now a dream, but one thing the NBA tought me is anything can happen. Mitch and his magic could be planning something and boom, a whole new team. for example, if Butler comes, Bryant healthy , Clarkson and Randle makes a big jump like I imagine, and our Rookie is solid, there could be something interesting. I think the Lakers goal for the season needs to be to somehow find a system to reach the second round. to do anything possible to lure Durant to LA.
Was working in my front yard this evening and a neighbor down on the corner walked by with his dog. He's a good photographer and I'm all about images whether they are from video or still photography and we talk a lot. There was going to be a scheduled "flash mob" of a car show last night in town and we had talked about maybe going with our cameras but both of us decided not to ultimately. I told him I was glad because I got to see the Warriors beat Cleveland and they were a team I liked a lot and could root for. Then I told him how excited I was for this upcoming Lakers season because of all the good things happening. I don't even know if he watches pro ball or the Lakers but he then said "I can't wait until Kobe is gone". I said c'mon man....Kobe's my guy! And he says "I hate him". At that point I just said "OK we're done now" and turned around and went back to what I was doing. Just wasn't in the mood to deal with a brain dead Kobe hater, though he's a smart guy.
That was cool footage. Sucked me into the Kobe and Michael Jordan game too in that same group of videos when MJ was with the Wizards.
Absolutely! Lebron fans were so hyped about LBJ blocking Kobe's dunk and then Kobe had the last laugh with clutch plays and the game winner
Haven't watched this yet, but thanks I will. I remember that. It was like it was going to happen each game too, early on. He just kept scoring and was in such a groove.
It is pretty crazy, being Kobe has amazed us all, but until he is gone its hard to really appreciate how amazing he really is.
I like watching these clips. Even as diehard laker fans, we some times forget how dominant Kobe was in his prime.
I like how surprised that guy at the 9:30 mark of the 9-40 pt video was. The mere idea that a player could conceivably score 80 pts by himself astounded him. Then of course. . .
