Melo is too useful off the bench to waste in the starting unit. My understanding is Bron is currently at 250, I heard that somewhere, Fox I think, even 240 is plenty big enough for a PF in today's NBA. Lebron's size is not an issue. Melo will not do near as good as Lebron inside on 4s. Melo uses his size to back defenders down, not to defend. He will rebound which isn't that needed with Westbrook, AD (or Dwight) and Lebron. I fully expect to see Melo come off the bench. Maybe end up playing 4th quarters late too.

The word is, Kyrie refused to even speak to his teammates off the court, during the Cav's championship run. He is a weird little dude.

Check the Russ thread. No offers are mentioned because these were primarily born in Bron's war room. They started at the top of their list with Dame and Beal, realized there was no path to them and then put in the work on more realistic options -- DD and Russ.

We’re in for an interesting season. I like that Kyrie is a free thinker, but he’s also a bit of an aloof nut. Whether or not anyone agrees with any of his views, he’s gone about expressing himself is a pretty poor manner. I expect the media to be merciless.

I don’t think we need to worry too much about this. It’s going to be a situational thing.

You have a fast SF that can beat Lebron or Ariza in a foot race, put Bazemore and THT on him.

You have a huge SF that can bully Bazemore or THT? Lebron and Ariza can step in.

You got a PF to big for Lebron, Ariza and Melo (who actually is though?), AD will slow him down.

Is there a big center? Start Howard or Jordan.

Are they going small ball? AD slides in to the 5.

    We have great versatility.
