I don't know what you guys expect Ballmer to say. He owns an NBA franchise and albeit the one that lives in the same building as us it's his baby now. He's already done more for that franchise in 6 years then the racist ever did in the entire time he owned it. I don't care for the Claps or their goofy azz owner but I respect what he's doing. Spending all that cheese to put a competitive product on the floor, building them a state of the art facility. Yea if I'm a FA I'm looking at all that besides who's on the team. I don't like his slogans/rhetoric but hell he's the enemy and I'm not supposed to.

he doesn't need to say anything. let your team's play do the talking

you'd think that franchise would've learned their lesson from the way they crowned themselves champs after landing kawhi and PG, only for the lakers to win it all

    both of these?

ballmer has absolutely transformed that franchise, and they are likely to be a consistent threat as long he's the owner.

also, real confidence is in doing and not talking, imo.

and he jabbers an awful lot for somebody who's done very little (in terms of winning) in this particular business.

i'd be more impressed if he just started out these interviews acknowledging that they're the have-nots desperately aspiring to becoming the haves (this is true). instead, he keeps trying to transform the narrative (as can be seen in the weird reversal of his own quote in the article regarding the brand) ahead of changing the team.

and i realize that it sounds like double-talk from me (he transformed the franchise/he's only transforming the narrative), but i can reconcile it in my mind: he's climbed to base camp and talks like he's summited.

the clippers owe everything to that stiviano woman who secretly recorded sterling's racist comments

without that, sterling likely still owns the team and they're probably still in the basement after the end of lob city

By now he’d have been too out of it and his wife would have tried to be Jeanie Buss. Yikes.

I certainly don't expect it from Ballmer, but he could have tried going the classy route. Don't make it all about the Lakers in a desperate attempt to create your own identity. Just say that, as owner, you are committed to contributing the city of Los Angeles' championship legacy by bringing a Clippers trophy home.

yeah, weren't his big issues a low hoop iq and questionable work ethic? let's put him in charge of developing players! the guy that literally never developed!

this is taking "those who can't do, teach" to new heights!

I just did a search to see if Ballmer was going to tear down the Forum and good news is No. He paid 400M for it to get Azoff & Co out of his hair .... errr .... never mind, legally so he could proceed finally with the Intuit Dome. Well good on him for that anyway as there was some speculation he might. Plans to retain the staff and host concerts, etc as the renovation was purposed for.

Point we'll taken but step in their shoes for a minute. How long have they been the red-headed step child and been treated less then classy? How much of that do you put up with before you fire back? I mean our fans are world wide and relentless. We have crapped on the Claps in the most despicable ways. I've seen it all over forums, tv I mean you name it. Can't blame him for being fired up and honestly thst can be infectious in a locker room. This guy is willing to do whatever it takes and is putting his money where his mouth is. You don't have to like it, I don't have to like it but he's not trying to win over us hardcores anyways. I wish we had his unlimited resources

yeah, the forum isn't going anywhere, despite clippers fans hoping ballmer would tear it down after buying it. but i am curious to see how the clippers arena will affect the forum's entertainment offerings. will ballmer have the big ticket acts perform at the new arena instead?

must be nice to be able to just purchase an entire arena with pocket change just to be able to build another arena down the street though

Seems like that’s what would happen …. lesser acts at the Forum. But that could be rented out for all kinds of events that don’t require a state of the art huge venue with 6,057 toilets.

ballmer clearly suffers from an overactive bladder and/or some sort of bowel issue, hence the record number of toilets

Or he just wants to accommodate each fan with his or her own personal toilet to throw up in during playoff choke season.
