Yeah I agree. For me Porzingis at best is the 4th pick ahead of one of Russell and Mudiay depending on need, but man that's taking a chance.

Agreed. I still say Hinkie takes him. I hope they do and he's a bust. I loathe Hinkie...

This kristaps hype really favors the lakers. If the lakers think he's the real deal, they can risk trading down with the Knicks.

I'm assuming the Knicks want Russell as he would be a good triangle guard who can shoot and pass. And the rumors of Knicks pursuing Monroe will get stronger as Detroit just got Ilyasova so SVG can let Monroe go. The problem is though is that 76ers most likely want Russell so Knicks will probably be willing to trade.

This is where it gets risky for the Okafor fans, including me. The 76ers...who do they want if Russell is gone especially with Embid's slow recovery? Do they pick up Mudiay as they do need a guard? Or do they pick up Okafor or Kristaps? Kristaps for all we know is a good shooter and can hit 3's certainly better than Okafor so that will make the analytics guys happy. Maybe they pick Okafor because they like his low post game and have confidence that Noel can clean up his defensive mistakes.

In my opinion, I don't think the sixers go with Okafor, so lakers will be able to still get Okafor at 4 with additional asset from Knicks.

I think the draft is going to go pretty much according to form. 1. Towns 2. Okafor 3. Russell. 4. Mudiay. Despite the talk, I still can't see anyone actually pulling the trigger on Kristaps before the 5th pick.

As I told @MikeTrudell and Mychal Thompson a couple weeks ago, 7-foot forward Porzingis was my clear third guy in draft. Second? Not sure.

After seeing Kristaps Porzingis in Vegas workout, Lakers asked him for private pre-draft workout in LA last night. Intrigued by that upside.

I think Mitch is just doing to job. Might as well look at your top 5 prospects to make sure your board is right. If I had to guess our board -- it's the bigs, Mudiay, zingy, then Russell. Russell was the only one who we didn't get rave reports from and rumors following the workout. There were fan speculation when he rescheduled his Philly workout and that's it. So I don't think we liked what we saw. The fact that we setup a workout with porz so quickly following the Vagas workout at least shows intrigue by Mitch. Factor in Larry Brown talking to Mitch about Mudiay multiple times during the year and I think he is clearly #3 on our board.

Hearing Cliff Alexander has a promise from a team drafting in 30s in 2nd round. Suspension cost that kid a lot of $$$

We worked him out, and obviously have a pick in the 30's, FWIW. Talented kid. He was #3 in the ESPN 100 out of High School, behind Jahlil Okafor and Myles Turner.

High School rivals w/Okafor as well. Both guys are from Chicago.

If he gets a crazy good offer, he'll want to know all his options. You never know what will happen and what they see that others are missing. (Clarkson)

Well Cook was a kid in a candy store here. If the scouts saw some NBA talent there, I hope he ends up in our camp somehow.

Rumors say we weren't blown away by Okafor or Russell. Again, I just don't buy it.

He struggled but was finally starting to get it when he was forced to sit at Kansas. He is a bit undersized but I could see him being ok in the league as long as he is willing to work hard.

My summer is made. Lebron, Rockets & Clips all lost. We have the #2 pick and a great nucleus of young talents. Let's get this right.

Lebron lost, now all I need is us to get Okafor and it is a great end/start for basketball.

The season was perfect, considering the Lakers had zero chance after yet another year of key injuries. Clippers clipped in 2nd round again, Houston out 4 games to 1 in western conference final, we miraculously get a break and the #2 pick after an epic, one off, "tank". And now a truly likable team in GS beats LBJ and Cleveland to win the championship. Yes I vote for Okafor too. Feelin' lucky again that this going to happen.

Getting the #2 pick was the best thing that could happen for our team going forward. But that epic choke from the Clippers was the highlight of the season for me.

Will the games be broadcasted on sportsnet?

I have ballstreams but not sure if they'll be aired on there :(

I just don't see the point in drafting Cliff Alexander. So we need a 3rd young, 6'8"-6'9" power forward? Unless we think we can flip him for something down the line. Or maybe we plan on using Black as bait in a sign and trade for one of the RFAs? I just don't see the point when we have such gaping holes on the wing.
