It was a different interview. It was when Ron was still playing with Sacramento and he interviewed Kobe, I think for the best damn sport show period, or maybe a different show.

LT, I waited a long to watch the Last Dance because it’s so hard to take MJ in large doses. I eventually watched it, and am glad I did. Give it a try, at least to reexperience all his narcissism and insecurity.

Def gonna watch Malice in the Palace though.

Yeah, we really needed to do something. I don't know how Kobe endured so much with a crappy team. In his prime!! That's poor management post-Shaq. I understand why he wanted to leave.

    Watched the documentary, pretty awesome!
Felt bad for Artest, he is really different. We need to understand that not all people lead with things the same way. I imagine he went through a lot of abuse in the childhood

But man JO gotta hurt. His career was doomed after that. He was labeled something he never was and deserved much better. Also crazy that it would be the last championship run of Reggie, poor guy

Absolutely the fault is on the fans. They have to be accountable, and the guy who faced Ron deserved a beat down, what a douchebag

Agreed. JO was and is a good guy, and was unfairly scapegoated. The one word I was left with after watching this excellent doc is sadness. Everyone seemed so sad this happened, everyone except for that POS who threw the drink at Artest. That a-hole still infuriates me . . . No words

Netflix. I think Last Dance is still up too.

Edit: both are still up on Netflix.

Anyone recall the large posse of camera persons following Kobe around his last season? I was always thinking “he” had some last season production in mind, up close and personal. If that is true hopefully that’s something else that Vanessa can follow through on for him by picking the right people to produce it and relaying what was on his mind as the season went on, building to that unbelievable last game.

I think if he was still alive this wouldn't have the same shine it will now if he actually had something like this in mind. His star is bigger then ever now thats he's gone

That last game there were a bunch of guys with various types of camera rigs covering the game in addition to what normally was there for the network. Probably all kinds of additional angles and likely instructions on what each was to focus on.

Just watched the Malice in the Palace documentary. It really drove home the significance of this to have that clip of Ron being interviewed after winning the championship with us. I had considered him so far removed from that event and his time in Indiana by this point in his career, yet right after winning a title he unprompted started speaking about how he was supposed to win in Indiana and felt like a coward for abandoning those teammates.

I also believe there will be something. I think they are waiting for the right time. Last Dance just came out, Space Jam is coming, there's just too much noise. In 5-10 years may hit differently
Yeah, that one hit me too. Just shows how he deals with things. So happy for him to win the chip with us. "Kobe passed me the ball!" Ahahah

I’m almost positive we were talking about that same thing already here on one of these threads, and that something definitely is in the works.

Metta has relaunched his podcast (originally launched in 2014 but didn't understand the space at the time)

I wouldn't mind having Metta around and only play him against the nets just to make Harden nervous.
