Pete and Anthony really point out how great a couple days the Lakers had this week. The player empowerment point really struck me, you don’t see a lot of players committing to teams long-term, it’s usually 2 or 3 year deals and a we’ll see attitude. But both AD and LeBron just said we are all in for this organization for years to come. The contrast of this with how bad and lost we looked as an organization when Magic resigned, we had a lot of people calling for Jeanie to sell the team, the turnaround to being the defending champs and best IMO on paper roster in the league is incredible, the Laker magic is real https://player.fm/series/locked-on-...james-show-their-trust-in-lakers-organization

Good discussion on what’s wrong with the team, and how bad AD has been and maybe what’s going on there. Hint: it’s more nuanced than “he’s soft and he sucks/he’s overrated”.
I listen to every single LFR podcast. I see Mike Truddell finally slowly came off his “I’m an insider, Lebron and AD is all we need” high horse.
To be fair to Mike, he works with/for the team, he has to maintain his relationships or he’s not going to get good answers. I enjoy him on the show, but he’s not going to be able to speak as freely as Darius, and Pete also works directly for the Lakers, so he can only say so much on certain topics as well.
