If so it’s because he plays so hard, taking charges, diving on the floor- all in the heat of competition. That’s the kind of injury I can respect. It’s not like he just randomly had weird debilitating type stuff out of the blue that would be worrisome. Just typical basketball injuries occasionally due to playing all out.

i guess the previous playoffs (in which we won a title with healthy stars) don't exist. and his big impact in the last two closeout games didn't matter.

no reason we couldn't have played caruso with and behind westbrook. instead, we've got old guys who aren't great defenders.

If I’m not mistaken Caruso played a role in the championship that we did win doing what I mentioned. I like taking care of our own especially if they have proved their value, which he had. But of course I’m not the GM.

I don't think he's an upgrade. Drummond wants to be the main focus when he's on the floor. Howard knows what his role is when on the floor.

The word FULL that he used just refers to them not splitting their MLE between different players. The key terms you are looking for are:

    Non-Tax Payer MLE = 9.2mil / compared to / Tax Payer MLE = 5.7mil

The bubble was the bubble bro..was Alex more impactful than Rondo or KCP? NO. The other thing is the obvious elephant in the room nobody wants to say. The Lakers value Talen Tucker over Alex Caruso, Talen is going to get his turn. Another reason why we didn't invest 9 million dollars in Alex.

He wasn't that great in the championship playoff also. His playoff 3pt % the championship year was below 26%. His career playoff stats is 41% fg and 28% 3pt. Most of his shots were pretty much wide open as well, so this is pretty abysmal. The Lakers can only keep TNT or Caruso. They picked TNT over him, and it is a pretty easy choice imo. Intangible can only get you so far, at some point you need to produce in the playoff and he hasn't.

Still waiting more insight RE: Caruso.

I am hearing that the Lakers are hopeful for Melo to play the backup 4 spot, especially as Morris is seeking a larger, multi-year deal. Ideally they want both guys, but it doesn't sound like they want to offer Morris a significantly larger deal.

The last part I will agree with you on. The Lakers have made their choice about keeping THT over Caruso. No argument there. But I don’t agree that AC is overrated at all nor do I feel like the Bulls offer was too much for us to match.

I tell you guys something else I notice, that no one has touched on. That group that played together when Lebron and AD were both out. All gone except Tucker and Gasol.

After Kief's performance at the end of the season, he is tripping.

Drum is going to feast in the East behind Embiid. It's a different style of play, one that suits his game.

If we do end up sign Dennis to a big one year deal (not saying I want to) is there someone that people think might shake lose at the trade deadline that we can flip him for? I can think of Dame and Beal but both teams are hanging up on us, even if we include THT.

Would have been a great add, but I didn't even entertain it as a possibility. 1) Knicks are bringing all their guys back, that was clear early yesterday. 2) The Rose, Taj, Thibs trio is just meant to be.
