    yeah, i think he meddles too much in the front office, but the players seem to be treated very well there. the city isn't bad at all (i lived there a long time, actually). i don't know why no nba player has ever wanted to play there except dirk nowitzki.

    This makes it seem like retaining Caruso at ~$10M would end up costing an extra $40 million. I know we shouldn’t care about our owner’s pocketbooks, but knowing that’s a legitimate consideration that might sway follow up moves down the line, I’m not sure if we could call that “penny pinching”.

    we'll see what people think when we go from the league's best defense to middle of the pack or worse this year.

    kcp and eagle going out with basically zero defensive guards even available.

    I will picket Lakers headquarters if they let the Eagle go for the sake of saving money when they are sitting on a multi billion dollar deal with Spectrum.

    For someone to make a decision quickly, would suggest they have a preferred spot in mind already.

    I wonder if AC wants to stay, we already have an offer out to him for slightly less than MLE, and these recent reports with a pessimistic slant towards us retaining him are actually us just trying to apply some slight pressure on him to take our discount.

    I will be LIVID if we let Caruso walk just to save money. Dr. Buss used to say we could always count on him to pony up if it brought us closer to a ring. Jeannie better not disrespect her father's legacy by getting cheap right when we're sitting on a title team.

    In spite of all the talk today about him leaving, I think he will listen to offers, and if someone makes an insane offer like 15mil a year, he will take it. But, if the offers are in the 10mil range then he will stay home.

    It’s all good brochacho, times are trying and have been for over a year, we’ve all had it rough. It’s in the past, it’s forgotten, forward we march, brothers in Laker arms, or something like that, I’m not the best at metaphors, if that even was one. If we let Alex Caruso walk to save in luxury tax I may lose my s*** though and have to walk away from the site for fear of getting a swearing warning.
