Well, you'd be wrong again today, though you'll never admit it and why you're so much fun. Take a look at the two posts that are relevant I copied from there and gave the credit for them ... in the Drummond thread.
He has some brass ones. We win the 'ship. Easy move is to run it back. Not Rob. He pivots by bringing in the 6th man of the year and the runner up. Suns kick us out of the playoffs. It's easy to say, if healthy... and run it back with as much of the team intact as possible. Not Rob. Like his best friend and the best client he ever had. Never settle. Never satisfied. Rob has shown he's a swinging for a home run every time at bat. Gotta respect that. Can't wait to see what vets he's going to call as soon as the FA opens to round out this roster. As I mentioned in the transaction thread, I think getting this out of the way, we're at a big advantage when free agency opens. We don't have to waste time with Lowry or the other PGs. We can jump right to the ring chasers while 10 teams fight over a couple big fish.
Still not enough to be recognized as a good GM. It's all Lakers brand, sunshine, palm trees and hot chicks. Rob doesn't deserve any credit... (BSPN probably)
but he ScRaMbLeD the whole way! sam presti makes amassing useless draft picks look so easy. knows exactly how to get protected future 1sts that must be recycled into either more protected future 1sts or multiple 2nds. like a fish in water. rob just flopping around on the boat, acquiring nothing with FUTURE VALUE.
The man is doing work. I look at all the signings and I see about 8 positives. Yeah, there is the one big negative of letting the Eagle fly, but I'm guessing that was a save tens of millions decision for the ownership. The pivot on this last signing of Nunn after missing out on Mills was amazing to me. I'd much rather have Nunn. And, he still might have one more card to play with a possible Schroder S&T. You did the Mamba proud again Rob.
if this is a snake that doesnt know the cap, then give me this moron snake anyday off the week over mr. beackseat president Tragic
I really have some respect for Pelinka, especially when Magic was running his yapper though many media outlets when he left, Pelinka kept quiet, kept working and proved to people that he is capable of the job. Thank you Rob and Laker ownership for giving us a great product once again coming up this season.
