I would ring up Cleveland and ask about Kevin Love. He's 32 and hes owed $30 mil each of the next 2 years. He's not a perfect player but he does have the skills that would work out alright for our team. Not sure if Dan Gilbert still wants to help Lebron. Kuzma let loose in Cleveland next to Sexton can give you 22/8 (for $13 mil/yr not bad)

I wouldn't mind adding him if he gets bought out. That's the big buyout rumor of the summer. I just don't see it. Way too much money left on the table and it's not like he is going to get anything close to that again or has money from any endorsements to compensate.

Griffin effect. He is on a lottery team, with Allen and Nance at his position, playing time is for the kids. I remember seeing him in a few games and he was ballin. And is not that old, he will be a great asset in a contender team.

For us, doesn't make a ton of sense. He cannot be the center we want to protect AD, he is not that type. He would fit well pairing with AD if the latter didn't run of strong bigs.
He also has a ridiculous salary.

So if he comes, I imagine only after the buyout, getting a vet min and being a reserve for AD

    Here we go....

Guess playing with Team USA, next to stars, caused him to change his tune.

right, so it's almost official. bet things move quickly once he's made the request, as teams have probably been pitching lillard offers for weeks and the market has had a chance to get set.

curious to see what he fetches. he's probably at his apex value, and he's under contract. por should get at least what NO/OKC got for AD/PG, and probably more. unless dame hamstrings them with a narrow list. but he's signed through 24-25, so his negotiating power here is extremely limited, imo.

thus, portland can just take the biggest/best offer.

honestly, something from philly with simmons and a BUNCH of other stuff is an obvious starting point. get some picks three years down the road. simmons/curry/thybulle/all the picks (all of them!). give philly lillard/embiid/harris, which should be enough to compete with brooklyn. give portland a young star they can build around, some useful role players, and assets.

the golden state offer (7/14/wiseman/wiggins) is comparable, but i'd think they might want to avoid trading within conference if possible, as has been tradition with superstars in their prime.

I think he'd be up to the challenge of pushing NYK over the top. Just don't think even with him, they can field a contender.

i think we have zero shot here. unless we're trading AD, which i would advise against.

right. the knicks have zero stars to brooklyn and philly's three each (sort of in philly's case). and again it's complicated by his contract extension. same with miami. they going to give up bam and/or jimmy? does that make things better?

i just don't see either of those teams having the right assets. the blazers have no bad salary to move (unless you think cj is overpaid, which i do, but still...he's good), so you can't sweeten the pot by taking bad deals with lillard. so it's got to be value.

i'd settle for nothing less than a young allstar and a boatload of picks. to me, simmons is the way. and you gotta believe morey will offer the house.

My fear is that the Nets swoop in with a Kyrie + stuff offer.

I'll expect Riles to put together a competitive offer to form a new Heat Big 3 of Dame + Butler + Bam.

I'm not expecting us to be in the conversation. What I do hope is for a potential fallout & we somehow get CJ if they decide to go full rebuild.
