    I like him in limited mins and off the bench.

    He's bad defensively, though.

    I think that's only for the year you do the sign and trade. I don't think it's still in effect. I could be wrong though. I'll wait for Vash to chime in on this one.

    yeah, portland found a use for him when no one else could. but portland also played basically zero defense. if we move kuz to shore up another area, i could see melo on the minimum, but i'm not sure i see it under any other circumstances.

    that picture is like the perfect illustration of lebron saying: "Hey, look at your new replacement" lol.

    Personally, if Lakers do trade Kuz, Melo is an ideal replacement. Better scorer than Kuz and at least he doesn't take shots he can't make. For 15-20 minutes per game, Melo is a solid replacement. i think his play at Portland showed he is willing to take a backseat for the betterment of the team

    Payne and Jackson are going to be hot commodities in the free agent market this summer. They both should be in for a significant bump in salary.

    I only sign Melo if the Suns win it all this year. If the Suns win it all, it means the basketball gods are rewarding the Banana boat crew their rings. CP3 gets his this season, so Melo would probably get his next season. We need to ride the coattails of the Banana Boat prophecy.
