We got off to a horrific start, but I am proud of the way the Lakers fought back and at least went down swinging. You’ve got to give the Suns credit they were the better team in this series, but you also cannot completely discount the fact AD was not healthy. The Lakers have some big decisions to make particularly when it comes to whether they’ll be able to re-sign Drummond and Schroder. Drummond was disappointing in this series because he just did not compete at all with Ayton so honestly I’m fine with letting him walk, think we saw a little bit in this series why the Pistons and Cavaliers moved on from Drummond. Drummond is a great interior defender, but he does not give consistent effort in other areas of the game such as pick and roll coverage as well as running the floor. Schroder showed up big tonight he was the biggest reason the Lakers were able to get back in the game IMO. Schroder is a terrific perimeter defender, he has the ability to beat his man off the dribble consistently, and really he is the one guy other then LeBron who can make plays for himself and others on this team. AD only played in 36 of 72 possible games, while LeBron only played in 45. It is hard to be able to offset your two best players missing that amount of time. Biggest priority this off-season should be those guys getting healthy and if that happens I fully expect we’ll be back next season.
lol. AD got hurt you clowns. you knew you were done before that. everyone could see it. "oh, poor chris paul" (who was clearly paul pierce-ing it, btw) all over the press. they'll get what's coming to them, and they'll return to the cellar soon.
I think he was strategically creating a narrative. When we were starting to roll and AD was in unstoppable beast mode, CP3 saw the writing on the wall. He probably got a shoulder tweak, and decided to play it to the hilt so that the series loss story would be "If not for Chris Paul's untimely injury..." Once the Suns took control of the series, suddenly he was dribbling, passing, and even shooting without any apparent problems. Dude is a scripted actor. Just ask Jake from State Farm.
let him enjoy the fact that he finally beat lebron in the playoffs after almost a decade of trying and failing hard suns aren't getting anywhere close to a ring
