I would go with our best defensive lineup (which also happens to be our best shooting lineup) and live or die by the three. Caruso KCP Mathews Lebron Gasol
I was thinking maybe Morris or Kuz instead of Wes, but Wes works too. I think the key is getting Caruso and Gasol in there. Need the floor spacing to let Lebron operate, smart players who know how to move off ball and get the floor geometry more efficient. In an elimination game where I feel we need to get off to a good start offensively, I don’t want to see us waste possessions on a Drummond fumble or Schröder turning down an open 3. That’s how I feel on paper ... but to be honest Caruso and Gasol have not been as good as we need them either. So I won’t get too worked up in whatever direction Vogel goes.
I personally don’t think you can start Schröder, Trez, and Drummond, there is zero shooting there and like game 5 LeBron would be screwed with no room to operate and no one to pass to. AC KCP Lebron Morris Gasol can also go AC, KCP, Wes, LeBron, Gasol and then bench gets tough Schröder THT or Wes Wes or Mckinnie Kuz Trez
It’s all good. You don’t have to like it. The original poster asked what the lineup would be if WE were the coach. You’re entitled to your opinion just like I am.
Yep go small. They tried this in Game 4 but with weaker perimeter defenders. Flip out Mcclemore/Morris for Kuz/KCP and this will be a good move
Anyone actually showing heart and desire out there. Most of these guys are defending champions. They need to show it.
