Luka would hunt him down and it would not end well: guys who can't move their feet have no chance against the Mavs offense. Look at what the Suns are doing against a top notch defense in the Lakers with the way they space the floor and they don't have a Lebron like player whose young and healthy enough to go apex predator switch hunting every possession
This is what the Warriors are dreaming of . Heat would be unwilling to include Tyler Herro in a package for Kawhi though #Heatculture . LMFAO
It's why that 2-year deal is haunting a certain billionaire right now. It didn't force Kawhi to commit. He played his arse off in Canada to make sure he could move the hellz outta that ice box to SoCal. I think that was more important to Kawhi than realized by everyone. 2-time champ with a heroic game 7 buzzer-beater for the ages, he's got that covered. He doesn't have the "chase MJ's 6 rings" mentality. He's got what he wants already. Pauline took the long-term deal because of his injury history and the Clips will pay for this in more ways than one. Kawhi: 2-year deal up this summer (player on 3rd which don't look so good especially if they go down in this series or the next) he may though, as noted above, may have got what he wants already but Oakland may just be warm enough, local enough, and good enough. I don't believe anyone else can pull him out. Wiggins and all of the dubs picks (they have 3 first-rounders between '21-'22 and a couple 2nd-rounders) works for Kawhi. Gawdz, Steph, Kawhi, Klay and Dray, if they don't break...unstoppable. AD: 5 years Lebron: 5 years Jeanie Buss: "Bite me Ballmer"
i mean, i guess the minny pick is high, but their pick this year is mid-first and next year will be, too--unless they actually could trade for kawhi, in which case it would be the 30th pick. moreover, they're not a threat to actually clear the space to sign kawhi outright, so clips could easily call both sides' bluff on this one, imo. eating two full years of wiggins at 30+(!) million per year for a lotto pick? seems like a gs pipe dream. now, miami is an actual threat to simply sign him. jimmy butler and bam are under contract, after that it's all rookie deals, basically.
Miami is the team that I have thought had a shot at him all along. And Jimmy Butler is the guy he actually wanted to play with. But Kawhi is getting to the point where he doesn't swing a franchise's fortune anymore. And every year that passes, his knees become more and more calcified. Butler isn't getting any younger either. Bam/Butler/Kawhi doesn't get out of the East past Brooklyn. Probably not Philly either. Kawhi got vaulted into legendary status off the back of one Toronto run where the Warriors suffered multiple catastrophic injuries. He is a fantastic player, but he is showing not be the all-time, Top 20 player he was being made out to be for a couple years there.
I don't care who Kawhi signs with. If I had to guess, I would guess the Heat. I am amused that there is a real possibility that he leaves the Clips though.
if the clips don't make it past round two i'd be pretty surprised if kawhi returned where he would end up is anyone's guess. probably whichever team is willing to give him the most power to do as he pleases
Watching Bosch on Amazon, season 5: "You sure the rest of the story is solid?" "Like LeBron." "On a good night or a bad night?" "LeBron does not have bad nights.... and now that he is a Laker..." "I'm a Clippers fan." "I pity you."
Lots of downtown condos in Miami for Uncle Dennis and Kawhi. Plus the can ask for a plane and a boat. Do apples grow in Florida?
He could have said the wrong thing at the wrong time. Some people are too dumb to realize you don’t f*** with a pissed off Rondo.
