Kuz and KCP combined last night: 51 minutes. 2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists.

they only got 8 shots between them, too, which is curious. at the end of game 1, kcp looked like he didn't want the ball. he hit the side of the glass on a three attempt in this one. i think his limited shot attempts are a confidence issue (he's in one of those kcp slumps at a bad time). kuz's best shots come off easy opportunities, imo, and sometimes those dry up in the playoffs, so i could see him just not getting opportunities. at least he wasn't taking ill-advised shots like THT (not trying to bag on him, i just thought he looked unready for the moment in yesterday's game).

Lebron has to find a balance in his 18th season to have enough in the tank for 3 more series.

Ankle or not, every year he plays from here on out, that ability will diminish.

My hope is they can get through it one more time for a title and then the Lakers HAVE to bring in a 3rd star. Preferably someone who's able to drop 25 a game and be a good team player.

it will be difficult to do, but yeah, after next year (or maybe as soon as next year), it might make sense to move some of our depth for a bigger talent after those two--primarily because lebron can't be lebron forever.

good news is kuz and kcp a) are worth their salaries and b) make enough to be packaged for a third star type. add in that we have THT and our pick this year, and we have some flexibility for trades. would need to be a good vet on a bad team, though, imo. young guys who could qualify (like a zach lavine, for example) are always moved for magic beans (draft picks and players with potential). anyway, nobody really stands out to me here...maybe...pascal siakam? look for a guy who is good but makes too much money and/or isn't suited to being a top 1/2 player on a good team.

kcp wasnt just missing, hes passing up on wide open shots now, so its not like the team isnt trying to get him involved

Sun fans kept complaining all game about AD’s free throws. They said the only reason Booker got the ones at the end of the game were to make it look like he didn’t get screwed lol.

Yup, Bron is hurt. He can still get up, when he needs though. That alleyoop was sick, head almost at rim level :)

Last WMC but lost in all this is the refs letting Phoenix get away with constant obvious fouling and shoving under the basket, pushing AD out of bounds, throwing him down on the floor during a screen, pushing Gasol's back when LeBron went up the ladder for that rebound (of course Gasol is a tree so he just leans over and doesn't fall, so no foul called). Just awful.

yeah, i'll be curious to see how the lakers come out in game 3. phx was the more aggressive team in both games, but we're basically bigger everywhere. we should want to play that game. very hard.

Not yet, we will suck until we trade AD for Randle.

Since PHX doesn't have a lot of size, Wes should eat a lot of those minutes while those three are shrugging or not ready. He is big enough to cover their wings and more often than not makes the right play offensively.

I'm impressed with Monty Williams, Suns really run some nice sets and try to take away what the other team likes to do on offense. They don't really have anyone to match with AD but the Suns are no joke - it will be good for the Lakers to get used to this type of stuff as Utah and nets run similar type of offenses with 4 or 5 shooters on the floor.

monty williams was the coach i wanted a couple years ago, but phx wisely made its offer before we were done interviewing. i also wanted us to keep snyder all those years ago, before several horrible coaching hires set us back a decade.
