That shot was ridiculous. He struggled the first half, but I give him way more of a pass than AD for that as he’s barely returned from injury recently. He of course took over when it mattered yet again and hit that crazy game winner. We’re lucky to have this dude, I’m gonna enjoy it while I can, you can clearly see he will start to decline and that’s ok, they all do. Hopefully we get at least one more banner before he’s done, and hopefully Curry says hey if I can’t beat ‘em I’ll join ‘em. ;)

Fun thing is when we signed him...many Laker fans were thinking...this deal will be terrible come its third season and guess what:

LeBron is still every bit as awesome lol. At some point obviously it must happen (father time is undefeated) but LeBron has gone into unfathomable places and nobody knows how his run will end and when...will it? I'm actually starting to think father time can be defeated lol.

Not only that, but had he not gotten hurt I think he very well might have been in the final 3 in the MVP race and would have deserved to win it. The level he was at before the ankle injury was pretty remarkable.

his improvement as a shooter from long range has really helped him lengthen his career, imo. i always thought he'd end up being like a david west/boris diaw hybrid late in his career, but instead he focused on being able to play farther from the basket on offense. which was apparently smart.

Why does he have to remind you over and over again about a simple eye poke when Kobe would go to lengths to prove he wasn't hurt?

Same reason he wore a Check My Stats shirt when he was younger and got a Chosen One Tat. He has always been on the insecure side and craving validation. He has grown up and you don't see it as much, but the whole 3 rim story...

he's playing one what i imagine is a pretty nasty ankle sprain, so i don't think it's about toughness.

i've always found the unwillingness to discuss injuries kinda silly. even when kobe claimed his finger wasn't broken or whatever, other teams knew it and tried to exploit it. so the approach is really just for show, imo, or a quirk of personality.

i agree that lebron is pretty image conscious, so that probably plays into him discussing his injuries. but i don't see it as a problem, just a difference.

I absolutely see LeBron as a tough guy. The man is a tank. The ankle injury is real. The eye poke was real (in spite of what the TV numbskulls were saying). I have zero problem with him discussing his injuries. But I'm not a big fan of the overly dramatic writhing on the floor, or making up stories (3 rims) to exaggerate his heroic moment.

Lebron is a scenarist , he's always in story telling

Like he said Curry was the MVP so when/if we win the title this season , he will tell it was the toughest ever cause he had to knock the MVP out in a single elimination game coming back from an ankle injury...

He always has to prop himself up , I/we don't like it but it's not that important . He saved the franchise from mediocrity

LeBron is also giving the fans what they want. Sports is meaningless without the personal stories. LeBron is playing the part of Superman in the eyes of children, much like it was with Magic when I was growing up. Imagine how inspiring it is to a little kid, watching their hero get poked in the eye, get up, and drain a go-ahead 3 right in Steph's face while seeing triple. They eat this stuff up. It's great showmanship. It's the same reason he sits and the end of the bench sneering and snarling during a playoff loss. It's fun.

Yeah. The poke in the eye will take up an entire episode of The Shop. They'll bring on an ophthalmologist to feign disbelief that Lebron was even alive after "The Poke."

I was poked in the eye on few occasions, it's a b****. Why do you think they stop mma matches and often DQ guys for doing it?
