I like the play-in format as constructed, but it could end up being a travesty this year. Not because it could result in the defending champs missing the playoffs (as others have noted, this is an injury-riddled mess of our own making), but more so because there is not a basketball fan in the world, outside of Memphis or San Antonio, that would rather see one of those teams in the playoffs over the Lakers or Warriors. One could argue that's the entire problem with the play-in format, but this is a fluky year, where two of the best West teams were ravaged by injuries and ended up 7 and 8. That's not likely to happen more often than not.

So we decided to spot the Warriors around 20 points in 1st? To make it interesting? OK.

EDIT: that's better. But the officiating is BS anyway.

AD should just go f*** off for this BS of a 1st quarter. Or 2nd. f*** right the f*** off.

Also... hope Shroeder f***s off in the offseason. Useless piece of crap.

Knew this might happen. They're playing like they have tickets ready for Cancun and Cabo with their bags packed.

So... it's Memphis, right? Hope we squeeze by.

LOL @ Frank posting Drum twice and not playing Marc at all. Screw that.

    P.S. Finally... took him out.

Goddamn Frank. Get AC back into the f***ing game. Get that dumass me-first moron out.

    YEAH!

Gameball goes to Caruso who should be starting and finishing... and playing 30 minutes a game. Screw Dennis who does nothing for the team. Nothing. His stupid a** drives once a quaerter are useless. And AC is twice the defender, both individual and team.

Get your head out of your butt, Frank.

    Wes (Kuz in some matchups)
    Bron
    AD

    Is that complicated?

The AD, Bron, AC, Wes, and KCP or Kuz lineup is our not f'ing around lineup.

Suns are pretty stacked. Look out for the monster mikal bridges.

if this same laker team shows up on sun, I won’t be able to watch....

I know we beat them by 20 or whatever just recently but Suns are scary. I hope Frank learns from his many mistakes today.

less trez and drumm, Dennis can play 20 mins but he doesn’t have it between the ears and has no passion. No contract for him this summer please. Almost singlehandedly cost us tonight.

we know paul and Booker will get theirs. Offensively I hope we get our act together, more lebron and AD action please.

For as confuzzled as our offense looked early on tonight I got to like our D going forward holding the dubs to 100.

Dubs last 5 games, all wins:

    136
    119

    122
    125
    113
    ____
    123 average

23 pts under their previous 5 game average.

Once Lebron starting attacking late it changed the game for everyone, as usual. Unstoppable.

I'm not worried about the Suns...I think they are the easiest team in the top 4 lol

Yep ,Suns and Nuggets/Blazers are easy opponents to work our struggles out .

Even if we struggle quite a bit , would be close 6 games series wins

Maybe if the Lakers play a couple of playoff series, they find their groove.

But history has proven...teams that aren't in sync in the regular season, almost never get in sync during the playoffs. There is no magic switch, that makes you play better when it counts. Those habits are built over months. I have a hard time to believe that this is going to be just fine...

Especially given our absolute inability to shoot 3s. Just not a good 3 point shooting team.

PHX series, will be a lot tougher than anyone here thinks. We can't shoot for s*** and Vogel keeps playing Drummond. If Bron doesn't get healthier and more explosive, we'll be in trouble.
P.S. I hate Booker's face. Maybe Dennis will punch him and get susspended. Win - win.

Yeah this won’t be easy at all, CP3 is extremely good early on in the playoffs before he inevitably gets injured later on. Schröder can’t get baited into making it a one on one battle.

You're right ... Lakers have the best defense ... and Lebron James ... and Anthony Davis ... and opponents are no 2014 Spurs team wise .

Barring a Lebron or AD injury/setback, I'm not worried .

Lebron-AD = Kobe and Shaq days with better defense and maybe less 3pts shooting .

The only times we lost were because Shaq was injured ( and coming off from a 3peat ) , Malone injury , Kobe-Shaq beefing/trial and a historic Pistons defense

generally agree, although we were just as bad from three last year.

this year is the malone injury year. team was hurt at various points, didn't get chemistry down, then malone went down again in the playoffs and we were toast.

you are right that there's no SA around right now, though.

as tough as phoenix will be, i'm just glad they avoided utah and the clips

a series against either of those two teams would've been over in 4-5 games
