Meanwhile, Sheridanhoops is going with the Russell promise angle... from US. His new mock has us taking Russell and the Sixers taking Okafor.

He was sick. That cancelled workout has nothing to do with a promise from us. At least I hope not.

After seeing the Kristap Porzingis Vegas workout video, I really think that's the guy the lakers should take.... I can't believe I am saying this but the kid is sick.

I hope your basing this on something other than him just hitting a bunch of shots in a row. Is he skilled? Yes, no question but until he adds a little more muscle its going to likely take him sum time to adjust to the nba game.

Not saying he won't be a great player some day because Dirk's body type was not very impressive either when coming into the league, but no way does she Kristap go #2 to the Lakers.

Missing out on a top prospect in the draft would hurt, but what would hurt even more would be drafting a bust. Porzingis has the highest probability of being a bust, if it's between him and Okafor I think the Lakers have to go with the sure thing.

Once again ^^^ WOW! Sure a lot of talent in this draft, but Jahlil's our center for the next 15 years. It's happening.

So RHJ and Upshaw are everyone's wish list with other two picks. I've definitely been open to getting some scrap in our SF role, shaky offense or not lol.

no one's troubled by the fact that porzingis makes young Durant look like Hercules? dude has nothing in the back pocket, and he's not quick/fluid like young kirilenko.

I think you're gambling a lot on his physique changing dramatically in order for him to reach his peak. I wouldn't take him over towns/okafor/Russell, and depending on my team situation, I'd be worried about taking him over WCS/winslow/mudiay.

I'd like to see a similar one on one from say, myles turner, btw.

I wouldn't make him a lottery pick, as I don't think he could hang with the athletes or the strength of the NBA players yet. Could be a several year development process. In order for someone to take him that early, they'd have to be a team with no plan or intent to compete for several years.

    Philly picks him?

He could be a great player. But I agree, he could be the biggest bust too. A lot will depend on where he goes and their development program. It's going to take a least a few years for him to get adjusted to the NBA physicality and to live in the weight room. He is going to get abused for his rookie and sophomore season -- he can't weigh more than 140 pounds. He's a dangerous pick because he could very well get Phil Jackson (who showed up to watch him) fired or any GM on shaky ground. And I don't get the ranting and raving about his workout. If a shooter goes through shooting drills in a 1 on 0 setting setup by your people, what do you think you're going to show off?
