I would just double Curry, the rest of their team sucks... Wiggins has 1 playoff series his whole career, and Oubre is out.

Wiggins may have a big game , had a good month of May and Bron won't/can't go all out on D yet .

Lakers will do fine against Curry as usual minus the big penguin , here is the danger to allow Curry to get into a good rythm early

The NBA remembers well that we lost the first game in 2 series last playoffs (Portland and Houston). Series that each ended up in 4-1 gentleman sweeps. This play-in stuff is some anti-Laker ish probably bought by Ballmer, whose second-team All-L.A. Cowards he'll do anything to keep from meeting us.
    '
Dubs are 15-5 the last twenty games, having gone 4-1 vs Denver, Utah, Pheonix & Dallas in that span. We are 10-10 going 3-3 vs the same teams and time period (while also dropping games to the Clips and Portland). They have their groove, we are still working on it though it's getting there. Particularly the discovery that Gasol fits best with the starters. Still, Curry is playing @ a career-best, unprecedented MVP clip which can not be said about our big 2. At least AD and LBJ should be well-rested. AD still getting his outside shot back. Gonna take a lock-down defensive game on everyone not named Stephen and at least be a minor annoyance to him.

I think we pull out a competitive game from the Warriors. They are playing well but we’ve kicked it up a notch and have more than enough talent to pull it out.

Not a Vegas odds savant. :p Am I reading this right that originally we were 7 point underdogs (though now improving)? Really ... underdogs at Staples with Bron and AD back?

Or are they betting odds “math” that now are getting worse?

Put at the AD and play a switch heavy lineup of Kuzma/Lebron/THT/Matthews/KCP/Caruso and this should be an easy win. Lebron and AD are just too big for any of there players including Draymond

They have no one who can post up and punish a mouse in the house situation nor do they have anyone who can really contest AD. Only concern is if the Lakers decide to use AD the 4 and the offense bogs down with Draymond able to switch off and recover to Drummond/Kieff.

lakers were favored by more initially. makes me think an oddsmaker knows something about injuries on our side.

no, the lakers were (and still are) favored. their odds just decreased, probably because a lot of people are putting money on GS

that's what vegas odds are based on. not because someone knows something we don't

Thanks abeer. Didn’t want to “like” because of the implications.

Hey shouldn’t be a problem with his ankle since he rolled it the opposite direction, inward, this time. Probably “straightened” out the problem?

well, yes and no, i think. the line is initially set by the house, who responds to money being put down, but i believe also tinkers with the line (edit: independent of where the money's going). plus, sometimes money being put down is based on info, too.

could be as simple as "lebron re-tweaked his ankle", though.

Hope they don't embarrass themselves tonight. Curry is having a Kobe 05 to 06 type season and he's gunning for everyone's throats. Our boys better be ready to play.

Lakers shouldn't even be in the play in game if they had taken care of business against sub par squads like Queens and the Raptors. Anyways they've made their beds, time to lie in it and get themselves out of this play in crap

Interested to see the rotations and minutes tonight, and the during-game adjustments.

Bron or Dennis should be on the floor at all times.

Trez should play when Curry sits - since he sucks at perimeter D. He should feast on Looney and get Draymond in foul trouble.

C'mon Man. I guarantee the League had no idea the lakers would be in the 7-10 seed when they came up with this Play In rule. Lakers were a much higher seed when the plan was announced..

If the Lakers can't win one outta 2 games between GS/MEM/SA, then they don't deserve to be in the Playoffs anyways.

I hadn't actually read how the play-in tournament worked. Was thinking it was one and done, but it's not. If the Lakers lose to GS, they still get to play the winner of the teams that play from the 9th and 10th spot. It would be pretty hard for them to lose both those games. I feel a little better about things knowing this.

as lame as the play-in game is, i think it'll be a good tune-up for these guys to get them in "playoff mode"

and assuming they do get in, they'll be carrying some momentum with them

NBA teams lose two in a row all the time, even in the playoffs. Every team in the league lost two in a row more than once this year. All teams but 1 lost 3 in a row at some point.

Remember the Heat being down 2 to Dallas then winning the next 4? Warriors blowing 3-1.

This is stupid. As Steph said it is an “opportunity” for them to steal a spot. And pressure on the Lakers as the favorites.
