It's a shame the sticking point for Lowry was THT. He would have solved that in his sleep. A team this good shouldn't struggle this much on offense.

Lowry is extremely overrated. He wouldn't have solved anything. THT is a 20 year old who can handle the ball and get to the basket, as well as shoot in the NBA. You do not trade that kind of talent for a 35 year old, aging guard. Bradley Beal, yes, not Lowry.

I am fine with us not moving THT for Lowry. I just hate that it was that or nothing. DS is not worth his ask and the PG market this summer is trash. I get our cupboard is pretty bare in terms of assets other teams want, outside of THT, it's just frustrating having Bron as our only facilitating PG on the roster.

If you don't think Lowry would have solved that then there's not a conversation to be had here because we are watching two very different sports.

I think if we had fallen below the 6th seed he would've been back already but we can afford to take it slow for now

Great news. We really need him now, Dallas is 1.5 games behind us. We do want that 5th seed for sure.

I am so excited for his return because we will finally be able to see how good a fully healthy Lakers team will be. Drummond+AD+Bron+Schroder+KCP is one of the best starting line-ups in the past 10 years.

I'm so excited for his return because I don't our playoff lives to be on the line in the dumb a** play-in tournament.

I agree, but it seems to be a non-issue at this point, because Dallas is really doing us a huge favor and they will likely continue to do so. At least they managed to overtake the Blazers who are in trouble now.

Again, Blazers have a tough finish, and those losses to Memphis show they will struggle against good teams.

Dallas has an easy schedule. They could catch us if they go 9-4. We may go 5-8. Getting to 41 wins will be tough, given our games against the Wiz, Clips, Suns, Spurs, Blazers etc. looks like 6 for us - Clips.

Easy schedule for Dallas isn't that easy, because their record against weaker teams isn't that good.

I think the Kings loss was a wake up. What they did to GS last night, and to the Lakers last week, were statement games.

if we could steal a win tonight... But Wes and Beal will treat this like a playoff game.

I don’t think you can have a statement game when the Lakers don’t have LeBron and the Warriors don’t have Klay. I mean, I guess it’s some sort of statement, like look, we can beat teams down one star, but it’s not like a bold statement.

Statement of what? We can lose to bad teams and beat up so so teams? Not concerned with Dallas

I'm pretty confident with our defense against Wedtbrook. I predict a convincing lead. Hopefully this one won't add to my impressive collection of pregame posts that didn't age well at all :).

Why and how are we favored tonight?

Mavs were without a star too. So.

Hope we get one tonight. Would feel great.
