Anyone been following up with this “Vivian” drama on Laker Twitter? Apparently “she” was a relatively popular Laker podcaster who has been posting on Twitter for years. A few days ago one of the guys who does the podcast with her tweeted out that Vivian had gone missing and they were asking for help finding her. Claimed she might be sick and was going through chemo. A bunch of prominent figures in Laker Twitter got involved to try to help, even had the official Lakers account DM them pledging to help, Keef tweeted out to bring awareness, etc. Eventually yesterday the guy tweeted out that Vivian had been found and she was safe, and everyone started celebrating. Until later another guy who had apparently been dating Vivian for the past month started putting her on blast for being a catfish. A bunch of them set up a Twitter “Places” meeting to get to the bottom of it, and as they started going through her history and pictures apparently it became more clear she was indeed a catfish, with some blatantly photoshopped pictures. At some point people like KD, Taylor Rooks, and Shams had joined that Twitter Places meeting. Mostly everyone trying to explain the situation to KD who was just trying to make sense of the story and roasting the guy who got catfished. Meanwhile Vivian is back on Twitter and claiming she’s real, but refuses to do anything to verify her authenticity Some are speculating the podcast host who had put out all the news about her being missing/found may indeed be Vivian (note the similar emoji use) Overall a pretty hilarious story, and I’m curious to see what ends up getting revealed. I wasn’t even trying to follow along with it, but by last night it seemed to be the only thing being talked about on Twitter by basically every Laker media/podcaster on the timeline
I haven’t been following the whole Vivian thing, so I have no clue about that. My question is why is KD evolved in Twitter so much?
Some people have way too much time on their hands. I saw her photo pop up a lot on Twitter that she was missing, but had no idea who she was. If I had to guess... probably because KD is miserable and lonely and uses social media to deflect from the realization that he has permanently tainted his basketball legacy
