not to mention that the injuries we've had so far can't be encouraging management to go all in on this season (at the expense of the next couple).

    I miss Dwight's muscles.

    :dwightcrying:

Yes he can be a jerk around the basket with an axe to grind, but he was our jerk. :(

Honestly, I understand the injuries really do suck and I'm not expecting us to be good without our two main players, but man do we completely suck without them. Even without them, the talent on this team should not be this bad.

The same would happen to every team in the league without its 2 best players .

Their best and 3rd players are missing though not top 2. If Harden was injured/missing , Nets would suck with Kyrie as the top guy

you sure about that? if a non-laker squad rolled into town headlined by schroder, kuzma, and harrell, you'd think we should beat them by 30.

We need our 3 point shooters to get going as they are getting the looks. Seems like same problem as last year, if we make an adequate amount of 3s we should be alright. If we struggle its gonna be very difficult for Lebron/AD to do their thing and win in the playoffs

yeah, i was hoping the hot start wasn't a mirage, but it was. the second any of these guys joins another team, they'll become marksmen. ingram's shooting what, 40% from three now? teams BEGGED him to shoot it here. and he missed wide open three after wide open three.

We could potentially lose a lot of talent this offseason: Shroeder, Trezz, Andre Drummond.

i wouldn't be sure about either. lots of time before then.

drummond having made 100 million+ already works in our favor a bit should things go well here. we could use the full MLE on him like with harrell last year. some team may beat that, but again, lots of variables at work.

schroder may find the market lacking and reconsider our offer or less than our offer.

I'm not so sure about Drummond leaving.

The Cavs thought he was worth less than Jarrett Allen. Frankly, that's his value right now.

The full MLE + endorsements + LA weather + winning may be enough to keep him here.

those things and our recent track record taking care of guys. he has reason to believe that we'll do what we can to get him the most money we can, while offering him a starting spot on a contending team. and i don't think anyone's showing up with more than 20 per for more than 2 years. FA is crazy, and it just takes one, but we see guys slip through all the time.

in fact, i wonder a bit if our FA strategy this summer will be to watch teams empty their chambers poaching our guys and end up picking up better players for less money.

though i do think that schroder needs to go in a s&t so we can keep options open.

if not, they're not getting very far

The way they are playing - esp shooters who can’t hit wide open 3s - I am nervous that they will lose every game on this road trip and a few when they get back - going like 3-13. Heat, Jazz twice, Suns, Clips, Raps, Knicks. Just some games they can’t win without Bron. Ugh.
