Was wondering if he might be next since Houston is wanting to give the younger guys more run.

I was thinking that same thing. For the record, I was always for him getting a ring regardless, but yeah, let’s say the Lakers had reasons of their own beyond the altruistic.

Yes to Cousins returning. We lack size.

Has Cousins remained healthy with no setbacks?

If so .... oh hell no .... to PJ Tucker and yes to bringing Boogie back.

Very little playing time available though, doubt he would be interested.

I'll take injured Boogie over Tucker 100 times out of a 100. The latter is a midget scrub, trying to act tough.

He can hit open 3s. Something we lack right now.

^ not while he's a Laker. Way better shooters went to s***, the moment they put on the P&G.

What / who would Tucker cost us though (wondering plus Lakers uniform 3 point average 10% discount :( ;) )?

And how has Cousins been looking? Does he have any (eye test) % of New Orleans or pre quad and pre knee Warriors Cousins left?

That's the strange part because it would be tough to reach his $8m he's owed this year without giving up multiple guys. Don't really see a pathway unless he's bought out. I know earlier when it was clear the Harden/Westbrook Rockets were done, teams were inquiring about renting Tucker (last year of his deal) and they wanted 3 2nd round picks.

Keep in mind that Cousins is not a lob threat, or a shotblocker. Or a defender in general. I think more than 50% of his shots now are three pointers, no joke.

PJ Tucker doesn't seem like a bad idea, Matthews looks hobbled and Morris looks lost every time he's out there.

Cousins would address this teams' need for size, but I'm not convinced that height is our only concern right now. Generating offense still feels difficult and Tucker provides some of that. My only worry is this - we're in a rush to sign Boggie because AD got hurt, but Boogie arguably has some of the same injury concerns as Davis. With that said, Boogie's ceiling is too high to ignore if it goes right. I think either player would help us big time.

he's basically a poor man's marc gasol. which isn't terrible, but it's not what everyone's hankering for. if gasol got hurt, cousins would be a good replacement for those 20mpg. we'd be worse, but could play similarly.

yeah, that's why i don't see adding cousins as an answer to any of their problems. he's not a paint presence like mcgee and howard. that's the type of big they need

Are the Lakers able to re-sign McGee if he gets bought out?

I really don’t get the PJ Tucker hype. He’s aging and undersized. What am I missing? We’d have to part ways with Caruso or THT to make his 8 million dollar contract work.
