Considering some of the open looks we've been giving up, this seems insane to me. Just imagine if we tighten things up down the stretch.

Bubble Hangover is real. We're just built different, as Bron says.

This can’t be real. I read in the game thread every night how much we suck. We suck defense, we suck at shooting, we suck at sucking. :ADsurprised 1:

If this were an 82 game season, Lakers would be on pace for 63 wins.

Defense has been great. It's been our offense that hasn't been consistent. No team can match the Lakers hustle right now. When AC/Trezz/Schroder/KCP provide 100% energy and now Kuzma is molding himself to be a sleeper for most improved defensive player. And AD hasn't even particularly played well both defensively and offensively. Only a matter of time when it just clicks.

Plus Wes is a heck of a man on man defender. We haven't seen all that he can do yet since his time has been so limited.

With his similar up into the offensive player's space and quick feet and hands, similar at his size to Bradley and Schroder at their size ..... hope in a pinch he can give some minutes to bother the good big wings like Snake and Paula, especially, if it comes to us meeting them in the playoffs ..... as AB and Dennis can bother the bigger guards they go up against.

Re: optimism - that was the worst first quarter we’ve seen all year and we still came back and stomped on them in the second half winning by double digits. Just imagine if AD ever gets fully healthy and our shooters get out of their slumps!!

Solid win on the road last night v. Minny. Good to see KAT back. Our guys gave a lot of effort and filled in well for AD.

Love our coaching staff. One of the great defensive and "players' coach / chemistry coaches ever in Vogel. Then you have sitting there too a strong coach in Hollins (though I'm not clear what his specialty is with the team). The GREAT Phil Handy sitting there and evaluating plus advice in real time. And then last night did anyone else see the GREAT Jason Kidd holding class during a timeout with Caruso and Schroder for a good while? AC eventually gets up and goes back onto the floor, and Kidd's still talking with Dennis and gesturing. Dennis looks interested, not, "yeah right whatever roll eyes privately" look. And Jason sends him off with positive encouragement. Well done front office!

As worrisome as the 3% are right now(see the WMC thread), here's a positive.

related to points about paint d. it seems like a concerted effort to limit three point attempts.

still wish the league would fix the issue. when wilt/kareem/shaq were warping the game, they altered rules. move the line back.

the fact that the only column you need to look at in most games to determine the winner is 3PM is pretty ridiculous and a threat to the game itself.

oh wait, this is the optimism thread...we're uniquely suited to help limit those attempts defensively and our playoff offense isn't as reliant on the deep ball as much as others'.
