If nothing else, the stars will get it on the downlow. If we're being honest, there are about 25-50 players that the NBA needs to have when the playoffs come around in order for the season to feel legitimate. Everyone else is expendable.

Either a week or two break to calm things down a bit or maybe looking at having two or three bubbles to play in. Some teams are playing 7-8 guys out there.

I think the post game interaction is about to go bye bye. That's currently how some of the spread to other teams is happening.

"The NBA has set a special Board of Governors meeting for Tuesday, sources tell ESPN"

That means Jeanie will be there. Maybe she should flip everyone off in the good ole Boys club for not having her in the group of best owners after what she just went through and accomplished last 3 years.

I just spoke to an interventional cardiologist I've been working with recently, and whose hospital is at capacity. He says we're finally turning the corner thanks to the vaccines, but that we still have some really rough months ahead. So don't count on herd immunity saving the NBA.

And there you go Avery ..... couldn't go to the Bubble but playing everywhere else 4 months later is OK .... Bradley. Stay away from your family now and especially your son. Hoping the best for him and his family.

Bradley not playing in the bubble was a benefit for the Lakers. KCP and Caruso played more minutes and were huge contributors to winning. Sometimes someone making a dumb mistake helps the team in the long run.

You'd think he'd mature at some point, but his asshatery just keeps getting worse. If I were the Nets I would trade him for Harden. Harden is an a**hat too but at least he shows up to play.

As more and more information comes out, I think very few prime condition athletes are concerned about coronavirus

For themselves. Worst case is pretty much they will miss a few games and get paid. If they aren't on a championship level team, will they care enough to not be exposed? I'm kind of doubting it.

23 year old NFL player in prime condition (running back, not an overweight offensive lineman) had to miss the season: https://bleacherreport.com/articles...ospitalized-twice-with-covid-19-complications

Hope players still take this seriously and abide by protocols. It’s not just themselves they need to be worried about.

I have a feeling we’re headed towards a pause in the season.

The pause is already being considered and the league has spoken with team officials. It's likely a pause will happen. You can't suspend games every week and expect things to return to normalcy. Lots of money on the line as well, though. Very irresponsible of these players to not take this seriously. The average person has an excuse. These wealthy athletes have access to everything without them having to leave their home.

I do wonder, are we really at a point in the vaccine rollout where vaccinating ~500 NBA players is going to be “cutting the line” and putting a tangible dent in our ability to get to the vaccine to those who are more at risk?

I get the optics aren’t great, but you could even argue that the entertainment value of the NBA is “essential”. And if hypothetically we went from the current state of NBA teams getting ravaged by the virus to suddenly things run much more smoothly by vaccinating players who want it, wouldn’t that be a good way of instilling confidence in the public about the vaccines?

(Sorry, not trying to take this political at all, I just really want my NBA basketball lol. But feel free to remove this if it is deemed too political).

i'd have no problem with NBA players getting vaccinated. the more people vaccinated, the sooner this all ends

I'm shocked the league allowed players to have guests in their room. That means players can end up ordering lemon pepper chicken and I'd be shocked if none have.

I appreciate the NBA being proactive with trying to find a solution but unless all the players and staff gets vaccinated, we're just trying to stop the bleeding until a pause has to happen or another bubble created.
