    Here are the reasons why Rob will never win Executive of the Year:
    • Scrambles a whole lot;
    • Does not know salary cap/CBA;
    • Can't pay his players; and
    • Players hate him.
    Riiiiiiiight.

    There’s probably a lot of incentive I would think to staying with this Lakers team which is embarking health willing on another dynastic run ...... maybe even a 2 or 3 peat. Kuz is all about the glam of L.A anyway and promoting his brand. He’s a player that WILL attempt to take advantage of what we used to try to sell FAs on. While he’s still here. ;)

    I hope he raises his game and contributes and stays with us.

    Lonzo will be on 6 or 7 teams before his career is over. Can't shoot and is focused on social media followers, not basketball.

    His brother will fall in line soon enough.

    yeah, my dad was talking about this a while back. it's weird that lebron and cp3 (and kobe to some extent) led the charge for players to take as much as they could because, tbh, once you've got 100 million, your investments will start outpacing your salary if you have competent folks managing it. people kept freaking out about AD not getting his full trade-kicker max here, and i think even AD was like...uh...i'll be half a billionaire in three years anyway...that extra 4 million is a weird thing to worry about. it would be a like a regular person giving up all control over their professional situation for like, 5k in salary per year.

    anyway, i'd rather talk about that durant/kyrie video. i know it's been out there for a while, but that is some super weird s***. not just kyrie being off the hook nuts, but kd sort of negotiating with him: ok, 2.5 post ups. you guys aren't the strategists. nor would any sensible strategist choose a random average for a play type and just pursue it. the fact that either thinks this is the way things work makes me wonder about nba basketball in general, tbh. did steve kerr talk like this? kevin, we're going to give you 3.8 midrange isos per game, ok? i highly doubt this.

    those two better just be a lot more talented than all their opponents...

    Well, as much as I'd like to watch this duo burn (never liked Durant), I've seen some of their pre-season games and they both look good. I am pretty sure that they are going to be in at least East Semis.

    kyrie has to stay on the floor, which has been a career-long problem for him.

    So will we just ignore the fact that Harden is now "passing" forcefully towards his rookie teammates? LOL just one of the reported altercations between James and his teammates. I hope Boogie punches his beard off...

    Altercations in practice back to back days. They've got to move him as soon as they find a suitable deal. In the meantime I'd suspend him 1 game for that, hit him in the wallet and take away some of his strip club money. Maybe that'll get him in line until they can trade him.

    Kyrie is nuts (or enlightened, depending on how you look at it ;) ), but I think both him and KD have a weird sense of humor and were joking that whole video. Taking issue with that video is the kind of stuff that if the tables were turned and opposing fans were trying to armchair psychoanalyze our players joking around, we’d be up in arms about how everyone’s just hating.

    Note how that was an older video, the media is thirsty for stories, and yet nobody in the national media made a big deal about it. If there was any bit of seriousness, you know there would be a First Take segment “Kyrie and KD get in heated negotiation about post-ups, what does this mean for the Nets?!”

    You are probably right, it reeks of trolling. They are just trying to see if they can get people to react. I say ignore it, if it is a troll, the get nothing. And if it is true, it will truly come to light soon enough and then we can go back and LOL at it.

    Thanks for making me now have to go search to find out about this.

    And I too hope Boogie punches him in the beak. Locker room blanket party safer. Throw that sucker over him from behind, everyone beat the s*** out of him and don't let him see who did it.
