This is where I have zero sympathy for small market teams....

Look at these stupid contracts to guys that have done absolutely nothing...

Both of these guys got paid more than Kuzma...and I wouldn't take either of them over Kuzma.

Yes, they're both younger by 2+ years...but to pay them $80M and $50M respectively is absolutely insane.

This would mean I could focus all my negative energy on one combined target.

This guy could be a perfect fit next to AD/Bron if we can grab at trade deadline or later we should

And I could actually enjoy pulling for Cousins in Houston, when Hardens gone

yeah, i think he's more talented than he's been able to show. chicago has been a s*** environment for a while now.

anyway, all these deals make me feel even better about our extensions:

4/64 for marcus morris and luke kennard
    4/72 for anunoby
    4/80 for isaac
    3/50 for fultz

    kuz and kcp: 3/40

    wow.

wait--so all the good players who have proven some things aren't getting extensions?

and i like derrick white, but again, that's 5 million more per than kuz or kcp. he's a rotation guard.

Who are these people getting these insane contracts? I don’t even remember their game and barely remember their names, and they’re getting 60-70 mil?

Kuz needs to file a grievance with the NBA for the Lakers drugging him into his new 40 mil contract.

At this point I feel bad for them. Hope they don't hold grudges against Rob.

Well, he can go get 70 million in Orlando and live a boring NBA life or he can make 40 million and enjoy winning championships. Now, with someone who has lots of money, once you get passed 20 million, money is all the same. Unless you are a complete buffoon and like buying 10 million dollar houses, you wont need more even if you want to eat out every night.

There's a reason why these bad teams stay bad.

The San Antonio deal I understand, Pop is there I trust his decision to pay White so much but the rest of the guys OOF

Pop wouldnt have a career without Tim Duncan. Not because he isnt an awesome coach, but because Duncan allowed him to be him, and everyone had to fall in line because Tim did. Once Tim left, that snake bailed because Pop hurt his feelings. Pop has zero chance at ever winning again unless he gets another Duncan, which is never gonna happen.

It’s an overreaction to Giannis staying in MIL. With Giannis off the table, there is a lot of cap room to go around but not a lot of deserving players to spend it on. Teams are overpaying to lock up their guys now, so they don’t risk getting in a bidding war with the teams that will have a bunch of cap room in the summer.

I think it’s resulting in some dumb contracts, but that’s the rationale behind it I think.

Luke Kennard 64 mil (56mil +fairly easy to reach incentives of 8 mil) 4-year extension from the Clips.

Dang. ~Good shooter but coming off a season where he missed 58% of the season due to knee tendinitis - considering it'll be 5 years before it's even over, maybe it'll seem good down the road. Could also be a disaster if the knee thing is reoccurring.
