did td win a ring in any of those years? is his team better off for his salary sacrifice? when you lose a star to age or injury, it hurts. it's nice for the owners if they take a cut, but i'm not sure the franchise is really much more competitive. had kobe taken 15 instead of 25 million, greg monroe still would have turned us down in FA.

If LeBron doesn't take the max, his tweet would be:

"LeBron takes a paycut cause he needs more help! How much more help does the Frozen One need? He's no GOAT and definitely no MJ. MJ would have never taken a penny less."

People like Skip owe their entire career to LeBron...

I would assume most here know my history with LeBron, I was not a huge fan for a long, long time. So with that said, he’s earned every penny he gets here. He took us from half a decade of irrelevance to a championship in his second season here. He got Anthony Davis traded here as well and has formed clearly a great relationship with the FO to set the team up to remain competitive. On paper this is the best team LeBron has had since he was in Miami, and it’s one of the best rosters we’ve had in a long time. So he gets paid, he gets rewarded for doing what he did, similar to Kobe, because the Lakers take care of their stars. Hopefully this leads to another star joining down the line who sees this and appreciates it, same way LeBron saw how Kobe was treated and clearly appreciated it.

To me, it's comedy. Obviously, his opinions on LBJ are absurd.

I don't think Bron wants to play on the same team as Bronny. He just wants to play at the same time his son is. Lakers - Knicks, Bron vs. Bronny is better that both of them playing in Utah ;)

This times a thousand!! Totally agree with you Weezy. You know I was the same way in regards to Lebron, but wow, ever since he came here he completely got me hooked. It's been so incredible to see this ship turn around and he has been in the driver's seat in that regard. The very best player in the entire world chose to come here and make the Lakers the number one team again. He and his agent orchestrated getting AD over here to join him and this franchise is completely and utterly remade and reset. Feels so good to be back on top again. No doubt Lebron earned every bit of his extension and more. We are champions and betting favorites to repeat. Go Lakers!!

They said he came to the Lakers to film movies and yet, he's winning titles as well as filming movies. This guy can do it all

Random news story that doesn’t have to do much with Lebron, but looks like this will include Space Jam as well.

Lebron seemed to have a lot invested in Space Jam for the entertainment side of his career, so I’ve been wondering how Covid will affect that. Will Lebron’s Space Jam be seen as a flop because the box office numbers will inevitably be low? Or maybe that may give him a built in excuse, and actually the fact that it’s streaming may encourage more people to watch it where otherwise they wouldn’t have gone to check it out in theaters?

Ehhh, I don't think excuses will be needed. I'd love to watch this movie but would never step foot in a theater until COVID is officially out of the picture. Smart move by HBO. They can't rely on movie theaters any longer. Netflix has been doing this for some time already. Seems like the future will eventually be network companies offering a subscription to watch theatrical releases rather than going to a movie theater.

He'd probably still be harping on Troy Aikman being gay.

I'm kind of happy to see this and think actually it's a better thing for him image wise than if released in theaters. Built in excuse for less money made and not the embarrassment of a potentially huge box office flop. Just can't see a guy his age doing a remake of a movie that shouldn't be remade. It worked once with MJ and I really don't think it will work a 2nd time. Just my opinion. Was kind of cringing waiting for this thing in theaters. And the mocking that likely would come.
