Dedmon, O'Quinn, Taj, Pau. Get one, depending on what we're trying to accomplish with the spot.

If the Lakers pick up one more, that's cool, but I'm ready to roll with the team we have!

We appear very well suited to handle a compressed season with lots of quality depth right now. Hopefully everybody stays healthy!

Lakers main roster is already filled up. Any other signing at this point would be to play garbage minutes. I like the Lakers as it is but I think Batum should get a shot just in case we need to rest Bron some games, he can give some decent minutes.

I believe Batum already signed elsewhere. I would get a big with our last roster spot.

Last I heard he was waived and the Clippers were interested in him. Which bigs are available still? Dedmon, Noah, Pau?

Ah, I thought he signed with the tenants. My mistake if he hasn't yet. Yeah, Dedmon would be my number one on that list of bigs. I'm still interested in Pau as well. Maybe we wait on him until January possibly?

one more big would be nice as insurance, but we can't expect anyone who's not on last legs or on the fringe to sign here, imo. between gasol/AD/trez, there are zero minutes at pf/c barring injury. will there be injuries? of course. but can you bank on that if you're dedmon? we saw GR3 take the minutes in sac (makes sense).

so any of those that jsm mentioned would be great as an insurance policy--i'm just ready to go in with what we've got. i think signing dudley is a signal that this is our team and alterations will be made on the fly as necessary.

Yeah very good point, I was hoping we were going to be able to find some ring chasing impact players with our final few spots, but realistically there isn’t much out there and we don’t have too much guaranteed playing time to offer. We’ve got a solid 10 man rotation, any additional signings are mainly for insurance.

If Dedmon can be adequate defensively and regain some of his three point touch, I think we’d be able to find a niche for him in the rotation.

But if we can’t get Dedmon, we really might just be better off keeping the flexibility and rolling with what we have.

My only concern with not maxing out the roster is with covid. Any given night, you could be down a couple bodies. Just look at the NFL (I get the active roster is nearly 4x that of a NBA roster), but the Broncos just had to play without a QB. Not just their starting QB, their entire QB rotation. That doesn't line up with resting Bron as much as possible.

Good point. We have no idea how Covid testing and positive tests are going to affect rosters from game to game and city to city.
