ive got it saved for whenever that moment finally comes. I want to try to watch it on the anniversary but that might be too heavy for me
I haven’t watched it either. My mother died in Oct 2019, so I wasn’t ready to watch Kobe’s life celebration at the time... I’m still not ready for it.
I haven’t been able to get through the entire thing even one time. I have watched Jordan’s speech multiple times though, he really came through with the mix of heartfelt and humor.
Cookie I have yet to watch it. Recorded on DIRECTV and an 8’5” wide screen waiting same as most games. Just really haven’t yet and may never want to watch it. Don’t know. Doubt I will the longer away from it we get.
I wonder how this is going to go, will someone give a speech in Kobe’s place for him, just celebrating his career? Or just accept the award for him and move on, maybe show a video of his highlights?
Probably Vanessa Bryant just says a few words of appreciation. When he was still alive (geez it is hard writing that), I understand Kobe wanted either Michael Jordan or Phil Jackson to introduce him at the hall of fame. Quite possibly names like Shaq, Jerry West, the Buss family, Rob Pelinka etc weren't that far behind.
I think it is going to be hard for Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett as rivals and friends to get accepted into the hall of fame while they also think that Kobe should have been there with them. There are going to be lots of tears.
