    Whiteside is incredibly talented...yet he is available for the minimum. There's a reason for that. For a team that prioritizes chemistry, Whiteside seems like the worse signing imaginable.

    So here's the thing. I agree with just about everything you typed but we can just give him the Dwight treatment. 1 year minimum, non guaranteed. Low risk, medium to high reward. Stops AD from playing the 5, gives us someone to guard Jokic and Nurkic in the playoffs. Just waive him if he can't get his s*** together. He led the league in blocks last season. That is something!

    He's very talented and a good player. His issues are mental, he does things his own way, he's supposedly "hard to coach," stubborn etc. If he ever buys in then yes, he's a really, really good player in this league.

    eh, dwight had "issues" before last season and look how that turned out

    lebron knows how to keep these guys in check. if whiteside is willing to take the min, there's no reason not to nab him
