Maybe they already do. Play Kostas or Devontae Cacok at Center.

Marc Gasol will probably take the Raps offer. No state taxes in Tampa.

Whiteside is the next best option available on the board

Just realized Whiteside led the league in blocks last year with 2.9. That is exactly what the Lakers need. Question is, is there someone out there that will give him more than the vet min?

We need high IQ guys for the last spots, we lost quite a bit after Rondo and Bradley left

Ibaka on the Clips is alright, they were always going to get someone, and Ibaka was out of our price range anyway.

while Gasol was poor last season, people forget the season before he was the starting Center for the title-winning Raptors, and Ibaka had a limited bench role.

go and get Gasol or Baynes and we're good to go.

We have enough IQ on this team now. Need good role players that can play D and score at the rim.

Yeah, realistically I don’t see Gasol, Whiteside or Baynes being minimum level players. Feel like there are plenty of teams with BAE and MLE money to spend that could easily outbid us on these guys.

I think we’re going to have to end up rolling with Boogie.

Raw talent wise Whiteside is highly valuable but the guy pouts and mopes a lot....Andrew Bynum vibes.

Chemistry is valuable for this team Willie Caulie Stein or heck Cousins might be a nice look for veterans minimum.

Well Ibaka was not outside of our price range. He literally signed the same deal we gave Harrell.

if we cant get any of those, I think we should just roll with what we have which is fine for regular season anyway, then wait for buyout market.

Clips still got no playmaker or leader. And they got Pandemic P and Lou playing for their opponent in the playoffs. They don't worry me at all.

Free-agent forward Markieff Morris is interested in re-signing with the Lakers, which would give them another versatile player. The Lakers also can improve their roster by using the veteran‘s minimum exception to sign an experienced player to a short, inexpensive deal, and by making trades.

But the biggest order of business is to get Davis signed. Contracts can be signed starting at 9:01 a.m. PST Sunday.

What do you mean no leader? With this guy's charisma they're in fox holes with him.

    And this guy too.

I agree. Ibaka seems like he would be a perfect fit for this team. Harrell is still a good pickup though.

I hope the Lakers sign Baynes. Tough and knows his roles. Doesn't try and do too much. Isn't a great shooter but good enough that you can't leave him alone.
