For a team who lost size with his extremely cheap contact, I think that would be a horrible idea for us.

If we are going to lose KCP, that's not a bad deal.

I guess Kuz would be sent out separately or to a 3rd team to net them additional assets.

If we lose both, we would need to get Baze or Crowder to help round with perimeter D.

Can we move him for Dwight? :ADGlance:Out of the 2 of I liked Dwight better and he’s cheaper. McGee contract isn’t bad. I’m surprised we couldn’t find a team willing to take that and keep Dwight for the few hulk kind of centers left in the league.

Atlanta and the Clippers were really the only two other teams who had interest in Rondo.

Dunn to Atlanta means Rondo is either going to Clippers or he returns to the Lakers for the minimum.

Anyone know how much significantly more can the Clippers offer Rondo?

Yeah. He is literally the only legit center on the roster. If we move him, Harrell would be our starting center and AD would be the backup as of now. Maybe we sign Gasol, but even then, we are really thin at center.

Really takes KCP out of Atlanta now. Yay. Still pissed about Dwight.

I don’t think we’re done and expect more moves.

Javele is okay but certainly not irreplaceable

The Bucks recovered nicely from the trade fiasco.

Javale was a non factor in the playoffs and in the regular season against good teams .

Vet min big + Montrez + AD is enough at the 5.

We got bigger needs at others positions .

If dealing Javale could bring KCP back or its replacement , Lakers would do it in a heartbeat

I'm guessing Rondo overestimated how much he will get paid here... I don't think the Lakers need him now, though. Best for both sides to move on.

DJ Augustin just got paid $7 million per year. He's not as good as Wesley shooting the ball, is a liability defensively, and is undersized. He's a better playmaker and that's about it. Lakers paid Wesley half of what Augustin is making. The Lakers just keep on winning. Value per dollar, the Lakers are smoking teams right now.

If it's KCP or McGee, obviously I'm picking KCP.

But I'm not eager to trade a big who was consistent for us during the regular season for cheap. Look around at these contracts. When there's a big who takes a min deal, then we can compare. But until then, they're all getting drastically overpaid and there's still playoff teams with mid levels to continue to overpay. I think we have to net said player first before you can even have such a convo.

Also AD has been clear, he has no desire to play the position during the regular season. So is Gasol (if we're lucky) and Trez enough for the entire regular season? I'm skeptical.

My position with us already concerning ourselves with the post season has consistently been not to get too far ahead of ourselves. (Obviously we're making it) you have a regular season that you have to grind through first and the goal is rest and preservation for our two superstars.

You're comparing a PG to a SG ?? Not the same role and DJ isn't a defensive liability by any means

LA times Brad Turner on 710 ESPN

    - Dwight got full court press from Morey, Doc and Embiid. If he waited longer he would've returned to Lakers. There was 1 hr silence from Lakers and Dwight moved on

    - KCP wants a lot more than the $8.4mil a year he opted out from. He is looking for stability and 3-4 year deal

    - Rondo and Lakers still talking but Clippers pursuing him harder. Kris Dunn signing with ATL hurts Rondo market

    - Avery Bradley and Lakers haven't talked in 2 days. He's looking for pay raise. (Same agent as Dwight)

    - Markieff Morris also looking for payraise but his reps and Lakers are talking

    - Expect moves after AD signing
