When his mom left him with strangers to care for him, it's likely where the insecurity or the need for outside influence to self-worth comes from. I can sympathize to a degree with that. However, at some point, you would think that since the age of 14, he has been catered to in everything and anything for the last 21 years.

Those who do not give him credit for being whatever he wants them think he is are the same trolls who say s*** like Kobe was overrated. Why does it matter? Will you earn less money if trolls say you suck? No. Will your career be marginalized if they don't accept you? No. Most of those clowns likely work in s***ty jobs, are overweight and likely just exist in this world with no substance in their lives.

Worrying about what anyone thinks about you outside your family and close friends is the biggest waste of life. Who gives a s***. They are worthless in the progress of your life.

We live in a time where nobodies are full of themselves and think everything is about themselves ... At least Lebron has accomplished a LOT ... Blame the importance social networks has taken .

If you do a deep search of my posting history on LeBron, you will find I never personally liked him. He's grown on me some as I've had the opportunity to watch him more regularly on the Lakers. But that kind of behavior you are describing is not appealing to me. Like him posting a meme of himself dunking on Trump. If I had to identify it, I would say OX's take of it being narcissism is probably more accurate than insecurity. But if it helps, several of his younger years decisions were likely a mixture of the insecurity of youth with a growing narcissism. Examples being: Check my stats, The Decision, the Chosen One tattoo.

He will definitely get criticized, but more likely for posts like that or what he says in the future. He had a several month break midseason, and expects everyone to ignore that?

If he's healthy, the NBA rules will expect him to play or pay a fine. We may not get a very intense Lebron next year if he is pacing himself, but to expect a full length offseason? nobody really expected that. No idea what the big deal is here except creating unnecessary drama.

Let's get the league back on pace asap, and as a leading face of the NBA, he should be on board with what is best for the league that has made his career possible. Without pro basketball, nobody may even remember his name.

Wakanda doesn't exist and there is no such thing as age not eventually catching up. Lakers have 2 years to win 2 more titles with Lebron. The reality is Lebron needs to play 29 min or less a game during the 72 game season. Kobe was having a career year in 2014 and snap. Karl Malone was a machine for 18 years plus, Scott Williams landed on him, and done. And no one on this side of the universe, less maybe Jerry Rice, trained and prepared more than Kobe. And Karl Malone was also a freak with his training.

So, yah, all the fancy workouts and all those videos of looking in the mirror and posting it to Instagram to show a bunch of asshats you are working out, isn't going to stop his body eventually from saying, hey, enough, I'm done. It's never not happened to an athlete. So, be aware. Play it safe but be ready when it matters.

Yeah I think playing LeBron around 30mpg next year is what we'll need to do to preserve him. We have to play him similar to how the Bucks play Giannis...keep him under 30 if you can for the first half of the season and then slowly ramp up. THat's how we gotta play this.

Then again - LeBron isn't a believer in Load Management....let's see what his body is telling him.

he's becoming a believer, or he wouldn't suggest coasting for the first half of the season. He sees the bigger picture, and wants to be around to catch Kareem. That means playing minutes and staying healthy. And if he wants to play with Bronny, he'll have to play several more years for that to be a possibility.

I don't see LeBron not being a top ten player for at least another 3 more years. Right now, the only player I think who can contest LeBron as being the best player is KD and that's assuming KD is fully healthy. That's a three year period in which if we can keep AD and sign another top 15 player, we should be in position to win multiple titles in the next few years. LeBron is goal-oriented. There is zero chance he won't want to break Kareem's record if he's close. Barring injuries or LeBron simply not wanting to play basketball any longer, I've already accepted that LeBron will end his career as the leading scorer in NBA history.

True that. I thought he had reached that point already with the Groin Pull that would not go away. But happily he Wolverine healed his way past that.

If Lebron is a top 10 player for the next 3 years, better get ready for at least 2 more titles. AD is hitting his PRIME PRIME now and you know the Lakers will reload. It will be a fun 3 years from here on out. Looking forward to it...

Honestly LeBron and KD is not even a debate at this point. Chris Broussard had a great point about LeBron vs KD, no one ever compares KD and MJ like they do with MJ and LeBron.

He and AD were obviously consulted, but Bron gives his stamp of approval

Such a night-and-day difference between the franchises. If LeBron had Rob Pelinka as his GM since the beginning of his career, he'd be sitting on 8 rings by now. Rob would have done every and anything he could to get LeBron what he needed. I think this season, we see LeBron play under 30 minutes, averages a more Magic-like statsheet of 22/7/11 with better defense, and come playoffs time, dominates once again. He has all the weapons at his disposal to not need to score 30 points every game for the Lakers to win.

Trez and Schroder are easily capable of adding 2 years to Bron's career, as long as no freak injuries occur.

And the entire new squad can not only succeed when he sits, but can prevent him from having to return to salvage games that looked like a blowout W
