I honestly can't believe we got Schroder without giving up Kuzma. If we can snag Ibaka with the MLE, we could have a starting 5 of Ibaka/AD/Lebron/KCP/Caruso with Schroder/Kuzma/Cousins? off the bench.
"Rob Pelinka says the Lakers don't view this as just a one or two-year window. They want to "stay fluid" and add younger contributors (like Schröder) so they can keep this run going. "We want to be in a position to be sustainable contenders." :Carusohearthands: "Rob Pelinka says the short turnaround and free agency and draft planning has stopped the front office from taking any breaks. "Maybe during camp or something we'll take a long weekend." :Carusohearthands: This is why he had issues with Magic. IMO. And started chirping about it in frustration I'm imagining. Rob's a tireless worker. A grinder. Like his best friend Kobe was. And am guessing he would want to move on things and get answers from Magic his boss in a timely fashion and instead Magic would be taking care of his other businesses mixed into his time and not coming back with the expediency needed.
Rob has his job cut out for him. Should be interesting to see how he maximizes results in this situation.
You know how it is. Rob will be scrambling at the last minute with no clue how to fill the roster, and then somehow come up with a championship level squad.
Scramble and no clue on how the salary cap worksLee Jenkins supplied those buzz words last year and used his media lackeys Woj, Moo-Moo, Bratwurst etc to try to discredit our FO before the fans and prospective free agents.
Remember when Ramona claimed Rob didn't know how the salary cap worked? Bob Marks comes out saying the Lakers can't do this or that and then a week later, the Lakers does exactly what he said they couldn't do, LOL.... Rob Pelinka was Kobe's long time agent. Did these idiots really think Kobe would be hanging around Rob if Rob was an idiot?
I agree. I don't blame Magic because he probably only took the job because Jeannie begged him after her brother and Mitch were ruining it but someone as wealthy as Magic is more of a consultant and advisor than having an actual executive role for the Lakers. I think Rob and Magic were both aligned in how they wanted to run the team but Magic was just too busy to be involved. What Rob was able to do and fill up the roster when Kawhi wasted the Lakers time was almost surgical.
Noticed how Ramona has no more Lakers scoop lol. Poor pig screwed herself over from the hottest team in the NBA because she tried to be the new Woj lol.
I believe it. Rob Pelinka is really good at his job. The next few days it's going to be even more obvious.
She was tight with Jeannie if I remember right. Then she started started spinning that Clippers narrative like all the other reporters. Although, she did pick the Lakers to win it all in the beginning of the season.
