This means that we had Detroit's 2021 Second Rounder (guessing from the Svi trade) and are now trading it to Houston for cash?

This is interesting. $4.6 million in cash for a future second rounder seems very high, not sure why Houston wanted it so bad. On our end, I wonder if we're planning on using the cash to buy into the second round of this year's draft?

EDIT: I think I got this backwards. We traded our 2021 second rounder to Detroit in the Svi trade. Detroit has now traded it to Houston for $4.6 million in cash.

I have no idea why Houston is paying that much for our second round pick that will be in the high 50's range lmao

It doesn’t sound good, but here’s hoping. Does seem like there is a pattern of these bad injuries either leading to more or worse, or stemming from another injury that built up. John Wall, Durant, Klay, Cousins, Jonathan Isaac to name just a few, maybe players are bigger faster stronger and the game is played too fast?

That has to help his chances of being bought out. Pistons aren't a playoff team.

Also is there a team that hates Ariza more than the Rockets? They have traded him more times than I can count

I actually think OKC got fleeced on this trade. They are essentially agreeing to pay 35 year old Al Horford $75 million over 3 years for 1 first round pick.

Is *any* pick worth $75 million dollars?

Since the contract is so big, I have doubts Horford even agrees to a buyout where he gives up a significant amount of money. He won’t be able to recover any money lost by agreeing to a buyout because at best he’s a MLE player now.

Having said that, if a buyout does happen - would love his skill set on the Lakers lol

If it's lower leg and it's being reported, it has to be bad. You don't report a twisted ankle 6 weeks before the season in a non-team event.

Why would Houston pay 4.6 million for a second round pick? That’s an insane price.
