I’m not too worried about his comments. I basically took it as him saying he’s not asking for a trade to contenders, but if he arrives in LA, he’ll immediately change his tune. If we can do this without giving up Kuz then I like the deal.

My guess is that he didn't want to be on a stacked team because he knows he'll get fewer opportunities and since he's under a contract year, wants as much money as possible. The way I see it, if he plays really well and help the Lakers win a chip, he'll get enough money in the free market. Lakers are likely interested in him because he plays off the ball pretty well. I'm wary of his shooting %. He was good shooting the ball last season but hasn't been anywhere close to that throughout his career. I kinda feel for Danny Green, tbh. Would've hoped he would at least been traded to a contender but at least he's making his $.

I have a hard time feeling bad for Green. He was dog s*** most of the season. He did not play great defense. He was very average on that end, and his 3-point shooting was terrible. His overall percentage was OK, but he seemed to only make threes when we were already up by 15. The big, momentum changing shots, or the dagger shots? CLANG!

Yeah, DG had one chance to redeem himself and missed a wide open championship winning shot, he deserves to be traded

It's true but I just hate when veterans get sent to a team that is clearly rebuilding and tanking. He's got the rings and money so it won't sting as much but you are right, he was not worth that contract for the Lakers.

With the Shroder trade and reports that the Lakers don’t think they can resign Rondo, I really hope we can bring back Avery Bradley.

I know we won the bubble without him, but he was a nice 3 and D player who could guard point guards well. He becomes more valuable to the Lakers as a capable guard defender now that Green and Rondo won’t be on the team.

If Rondo goes, yes, we will bring back AB.

Yeah I forgot to comment on that post, but Matthews isn’t exactly young. I haven’t seen him play for quite a while, but I hope his health issues are behind him. Green may not have been amazing, but he was available every game, even when hurting, and has regularly averaged 70-80 games per season.

Honestly can't say I have watched much of Wes Matthews recently, or I just don't remember it. Either way I trust Pelinka.

Well, that’s a given, LOL. However, if he does not play, he will not produce anything. He can play the D, I’ll give him that.

Wesley is a vet min player, though. He's expendable. Danny Green would have been great for $5-8 million but when he was costing the Lakers $15 million, it was frustrating to watch.

For the price, I like Wes a lot. Much better than what we were stuck at with Green at $15m.
