How is Kawhi openly recruiting Paul, who is signed with somebody else, but nobody says boo about tampering?

yeah, it's a big risk. but think about the fact that a year later, the clips are having to take big, dangerous swings to keep up with us. and we already have one ring in the bag. it was supposed to be the other way.

harden just isn't what he's cracked up to be, period. he's always been a TERRIBLE leader because he cares only about himself. i won't go political, but a culture that embraces harden doesn't surprise me much at this point. what also doesn't surprise me: nobody can play with him for long unless they don't respect themselves. because he certainly doesn't respect them, but demands their respect and rejects legitimate criticism.

"you made me miss a FT". what are you, 9?

What's he talking about? What happened in Toronto, Miami and New York?

He asked players on those teams if he can come play there. In front of his Pacer teammates.

Guy like that should be traded to Houston and forced to play with Harden, that you-made-me-miss-my-free=throw-a-hole.

If that's true, it's a second stronger reason to not want him on top of his injury status.

Home / Rumors / Report: Chris Paul doesn’t want to end up on Lakers
Report: Chris Paul doesn’t want to end up on Lakers
    [IMG]
    2019-2020 Anthony Davis Highlights

With the NBA offseason officially underway, the rumor mill is in full swing.

One superstar at the head of several trade rumors has been Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Chris Paul.

There were reports of Paul considering New York or Los Angeles to be his next home, but a recent report from ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith says otherwise.

“CP3 does not want to go to the [Los Angeles] Lakers,” said Smith. “The reasons he doesn’t want to go to the Lakers is because they’re already established, they’re already accomplished, and there’s really nothing to do for them. They would only be doing something for him, and that is ring-chasing, and that’s not the kind of ring-chasing that he wants to be a part of in terms of stacking the deck. He’d rather go some place where he could be himself and be the leader that he is.”

Smith then went on to say that the Los Angeles Clippers would be an “ideal fit” for Paul due to his relationship with Tyronn Lue and Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.

One should note that Smith has not always been accurate with his reports, so this latest development should be taken with a grain of salt.

After all, it has been reported that point guard Rajon Rondo could be looking for a deal elsewhere after opting out with the Lakers.

LOL CP2. Snake already has that motive and position locked up.

i think it's funny that he won't go to us because we won, but he'd like to try to stack the hell out of the deck? how's it different?

my guess is paul's folks new weeks ago he wouldn't land with the lakers, and this is pr for wherever he does.

I can respect that if he doesn't go to the Clippers. If he goes to the Clippers, he just doesn't want to share ball handling duties. I think his tune changes when he becomes a FA, he'll be begging at the door.

Let me reiterate...I don't want him at his salary, I don't really want him at a cheap rate. He's hard to root for. BUT I disagree that there's nothing for him here. It's clear we need PG help, especially to lessen the load for Bron and to extend the careers of both of them. At the level he's at, he would be starting still. Getting easy lobs to AD and whatever bigs we have and easy transition buckets to Bron.

Ultimately, I'd rather have Rondo at $9m than CP3 at $41m any day of the week.

Go to the Clippers, CP2. Then, when the playoffs come, both you and Snake can share a laugh, from the sidelines, as Wayoff hits the back of the backboard on a layup.

As long as it’s cheap, and Kuz and Green is pretty cheap, I’d be ok with that. I still can’t see Pop doing a deal with us though, unless he thinks DeRozan would make us worse. Or maybe he really liked Kuz while coaching him for Team USA.

What would be great with CP going back to the Clippers if when they fail again this upcoming season, Kawhi and George both bolt, leaving him and his albatross contract left holding the bag until his contact expires.
