Riley needs to stop. It's a bad look. Without the bubble, they're not in the Finals. Don't think they contend with HCA from the Bucks or C Bags under normal circumstances. Butler was built for Bubble Ball. I said he, Bron, and Dame were the 3 most dialed in players in the bubble. Outside of the bubble, they lose that advantage. Injuries are a part of the game. Are we putting an asterisk on DET's title over us because Malone was hurt?
I am very late to the party here, but congrats to the Lakers and everyone on LakersBall for making it through a tough season and coming out victorious!!! Excited to see what's next!
Exactly they were bad all regular season long in away games . If there is an asterisk , it's definetely this one
Welcome back! Glad to see you back on here, looking forward to any inside information that you can give us.
Hopefully this offseason won't be as crazy as the previous one. Remember when Lakers fans staged a damn protest in front of Staples Center? My goodness!
I Guess Pat Riley has forgotten about his '89 Laker Team that swept through the Western Conference Playoffs only to get swept by DET because both Magic Johnson & Byron Scott were injured.. No one's listening to your sob story Pat. Injuries are part of the game..
The asterisk, Riley said, belongs to them. “The asterisk is next to the Heat’s name, not the Lakers,” Riley said, via the Associated Press’ Tim Reynolds. “Their title is legitimate. Our loss has the asterisk [next] to it. “The Lakers were the better team. Period.” Whatever... Nice try.
Yeah, that is a guy I wish we would have targeted over Kawhi. He might have come here and with AD, Lebron and Butler, we would be winning 3 rings at least and having AD and Butler to retool for additional runs would be a great start. Ah well, woulda shoulda coulda but that is what Kawhi did to us. I blame Kawhi!!!!
yeah me too, but this puts a little tarnish on his legacy to me. Just a little but I am not at all happy with his response.
exactly what I thought as soon as he said it. Riley was being really stupid to say this. That is all there is to it.
I remember reading a 1990 World Almanac where they indeed placed an asterisk in Detroit's series win, writing the Lakers was without Magic. Hilarious.
