To appreciate how fortunate and lucky we really are to be part of this team. Yeah, we are just fans, but we have stuck with this team through thick and thin. We bleed purple and gold, we are all Lakers just like the players, the owners, the front office, so on and so forth. And think about what all we have experienced.

I'm only 25, but in my lifetime alone I have witnessed great player after great player. Great team after great team. I got to cheer for stars like Kobe, Shaq, LeBron, AD, and Pau in my lifetime. I got to witness the growth of guys like Caruso, Kuzma, Lamar, Farmar, Shannon Brown, Bynum, and KCP. I got to see the redemption arcs of Dwight and Metta. I got to see the GOAT coach in Phil Jackson in action and I got to see a hard worker like Frank Vogel earn the respect he deserves. That's not to mention the guys who got us there and gave us hope, like BI, Lonzo, Clarkson, Randle, and so on. On top of that, a lot of you got to witness Magic, Kareem, and Worthy like my father did, who passed his Laker fandom on to me. And that's not even mentioning those longtime fans who saw Jerry, Wilt, Elgin, and Gail Goodrich back in the day.

On top of all that...my brother and I discussed this last night, we got to cheer for both Kobe AND LeBron. Yeah, once upon a time, there were a lot of debates about who was the best between those two. Lord knows I participated in plenty of them. But at the end of the day, we got to have two of the greatest players to ever do it on our side. They are both our guys. And not just our guys, but legends of our franchise. It's unreal to think about that. What else can you ask for?

We have seen our hard times, especially this last decade. But I'll be damned if I'm not proud, happy, and thankful to be part of this. Long live the Los Angeles Lakers - 2020 NBA champions, 17 NBA titles, and the greatest organization in sports.

Speaking personally I needed this one maybe more than any other. With the tragedy of Kobe and Gia and the others in the helicopter, the horror show of this pandemic and the injustice of the police brutality against George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Elijah McClain - I needed something so badly to take my mind away from the sadness. This championship uplifted my spirits as none other has. For that I'm so thankful.

It was also redemption from all the bad years we suffered, the awful coaching hires, and the unjustified media onslaught we were subjected to against our team and ownership this summer. Eff em. We came out on top with resilience, defense, great coaching and some heavy duty superstars in Lebron and AD. Let's run it back next year and make it a back to back!
